Jean it wasn't that long ago that the first result (1973 version) was
still the case. I graduated in 1994 and those were still the rules; of
course I grew up in a small red-neck town. However I definately
remember taking apart firecrackers and filling up dixie cups full (and
once a big gulp cup) covering the top with plaster and blowing up
anthills- and that was at Boy Scout camp . |

Here's a movie that I nver hear talked about when scary movies are
brought up. "Event Horizon" Lawrence Fishburne and Sam Neil; scary as
hell with several "Oh $hit!" moments. |

Are the "donuts" oil or enriched (weapons grade) uranium? You used
both and never differentiated. Second our neighbor to the north (YOU!)
provides the US with over half of our imported oil. Lastly, Iran could
avoid all of the rigamarole with the US, IAEA, and the UN by building
nuclear power plans which produce copious amounts of energy but no
uranium. They choose to produce the uranium (and comparing donuts to
nulear material is just goofy) and must accept the consequences. Am I
saying the US is without fault, no, what I am saying is that this
"pastry shop" is acting in a provacative manner and while it's neighbors
may be in no position to take action the "donuts" it is selling have
implications which are reaching around the neighborhood and have anyone
thinking that if they have some yeast and a couple of eggs they can do
the same thing. Oh Lord, see what you've made me do?
In closing, I think that Iran wants no part of a war in which the
world is lining up against them but is perfectly content to try to goad
the US (or Isreal or Britain from the looks of it) into attacking them
and then crying "Oh, poor me, help me!" if it happens. |

Sorry Chris, but the dynasty is over. If you want a comparison look
at the early 90's with the Cowboys and Packers. They'd play each other
in the playoffs every year and the Cowboys (Pats) would move on... until
the Pack (Colts) beat them. The "Boys haven't won a playoff game since.
*Evil Laugh* I hate the Pats and their homeless looking coach. |

I can imagine it's doubly bad in Texas Misty, I lived in Dallas for a
couple of years and the HS stadiums look like college stadiums- complete
with luxury boxes and all! And if anyone still doubts if soccer is a
sport, watch some EPL (English Premier League- it's THE BEST) on Fox and
you'll see some hits that'll make you cringe. |

I'll say that they sign David Carr (who wasn't terrible last year and is
still fairly young) and take Calvin Johnson. |

Well Misty, you don't see any 300#ers in soccer and while I'm not 300
I'm about a biggie size value meal away. lol And yes I wasn't going to
respond about the soccer not being a sport but when it's crowded in the
goal box it can get as ugly there as anywhere in sports. Or if you
don't believe me you could ask the guy who had his nose broke in my game
last night. Alright, I won't know until next week if it's broken or not
but I heard the crunch and there was a LOT of blood. |

Go Rams!!! This year's GSOT is gonna be more like a 4WD truck than the
99 Ferrari edition. lol Of course we might HAVE to score 50 points a
game if we don't do something with our defense. |

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That simple phrase explains why
we did what we di. The Kuwaitis helped to finance Hussein's war with
Iran too, he rewarded them by invading them. My point is is that all
goverments do things that look good now, or help us now with little
regard as to what it will mean in the future. Also all goverments will
do things that are distasteful (bordering on villanous) for the sake of
protecting it's interests (which I might add as citizens we can be
counted among). |

And YES! I'm seeing Grindhouse, it only lacks Samuel L. Jackson in it.

I want the Rams to take Patrick Willis in the first round but I have
this sinking feeling Buffalo is taking him right ahead of us. Failing
that it's Adam Carriker. Later picks I'd like to see them pick up Brian
Smith from Mizzou (2 sacks away from the Big XII record and some
cheap-ass block FROM BEHIND breaks his hip) with his size/speed combo
he'd be a load as a OLB in a 3-4. |

I don't, if we were actually fighting and not running ballistics
everytime a soldier shoots someone I think they would know that we're
"in it to win it" (though I am aware of the debatability of the word
"win" in his case. As it is they will push and push and push until we
push back (which we should have LONG ago). |

I don't know if anyone else remembers this but on "The Daily Show"
(comedy central) they had an Iraqi General (AF I think) and when Jon
Stewart asked him about the WMDs and why we didn't find them he looked
at Mr. Stewart and said "The day before the invasion they were being
trucked to Syria, that's why you didn't find them." I'm paraphrasing of
course but that was the gist of it. So yes Gardenforge, I agree with
you that just because they aren't accounted for doesn't mean they didn't
exist, it just means we don't know where they are. |

Cboy, if you're looking for a derringer, try Academy sports. I don't
remember what caliber it was but they do carry them. |

Quite the contrary, I didn't say they didn't require skill, I simply
said they weren't sports. Crocheting requires skill but it's not a
sport either. What DO I think is a sport? Baseball, football, hockey,
basketball, soccer, volleyball, and rugby (yes there are others); my
point is is that the ones I just named, noone will argue that they
aren't sports. Hell, you saw the ridicule Droxfo heaped upon poker
right? |

Not in me Fanta, I'm Big XII (previously Big 8) born and bred. And
while we're on that, I'm sorry but the best rivalry in sports is MU-KU
not UNC-Duke. Ours predates A) college sports B) the Civil War and C)
the existence of K-freakin'-U; I'm not sure UNC-Duke predates ESPN.
