We put the ballots into a new machine. It just sucks the ballot right into it. It used to be a box.

It spit mine out a few times. It wouldn't even take another person's ballot. The person working there didn't know what to do about it.

It only took me 30 minutes to vote. But..I have friends that voted very early in the morning and it took them 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours to vote.

friends I know have had problems voting today
I told them not to give up
hang in there it's too important to just shrug off

also
it's strange
there were to different ways of voting
my parents had the little stick that makes the holes and I hand a stamp like a little permanent marker

I thought that was strange, but the light turned green so my vote counted
I guess that's all that matters

A light turned green? What light?laugh

I used a pen to color in the circles. The only other choice was the new machines.

I didn't know that there were so many ways to do it.laugh

you know the light that means golaughing

they are doing it 2 ways at the precinct I went to

I couldn't make a whole in my ballot no mater how hard I triedfrustrated

well, just a little fyi.. I live in this area (kc metro and the two precincts you referred to in the article were both lower income areas.

the article may be referring to that but I have friends that live all around the area and it's happening

happened to my child and that's not in the low income area

that should not be an issue anyway
just because someone is low income doesn't mean they are democrat

I know a lot of republicans that are low to middle income

me too
bright and early
a lot of issues on the ballot
I'm reading over them now

Let me know what you think of Prop. A. I have to leave but I'll be back. I don't know what's the best thing to do with that one. I am assuming you vote on it too.

I am voting NO on Prop A. because they are removing the $500
loss limit among other things.

it has a lot of pork attached to it and will benefit no one but the casinos

check out this site and it may give you some insight...

Thanks, I'll check into that link. I'll email you too.

I look forward to that
I am off to start dinner
I'll be back soon

After 8:00 tonight. Have my Dad's opinion on A to talk about. He agrees with you.

it's sad that they will use education as a veil and a means to make more money

the casinos were supposed to help out schools when people voted for them in the 1990's and they still haven't done a darn thing

It is pitiful how they have hung the money for the schools in our faces.

I remember that money we didn't get for the schools before.angry

shame on them
they should close all of them down

Due to the long lines at the POLLS, all OBAMA SUPPORTERS should vote on WEDNSDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH.

This will cut down considerably on waiting time.

Please pass this on to all your Friends.

Your co-operation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

By KSPR News

Story Created: Nov 4, 2008

Story Updated: Nov 4, 2008
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Voters in some Kansas City precincts had to spend extra time in already long lines this morning because poll workers were given the wrong voter registration books.

Voters at All Souls Church at 45th and Walnut Streets and at a polling place in Westport were told by poll workers that they were not on the list of registered voters for that polling place. There also were unconfirmed reports of other precincts suffering similar problems.

The problems caused delays in what was already expected to be a busy day at the polls.

Lines at polling places across Missouri formed well before dawn, with voters showing up in the dark with chairs, books and plenty of coffee.

http://www.kspr.com/news/local/33834934.html

My oldest child had to vote provisional because my child's name wasn't in the book.
It seems being registered doesn't guarantee that they let you vote.ohwell

Odd things happening at a few places in KC and the suburbs.

Anything strange happen where your voting today?

the point of this thread was basically to vote for whomever you want to

your reasoning is your OWN

no reason to bash someone for their beliefs
