Here I will do the same....Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.
Is it true, I dont know but hey I will post it as such
isn't this an interesting turn of events???
 Indeed
why didn't they check this out before making such a BIG deal about this guy?
Because to a major extent, the right wingers deal in generalities. As if the typical American is dumb. This Joe SixPack/Joe the Plumber stuff is geared towards 20 to 40 year old "crackerjacks" like me. But I got news for them, it aint workin.

Just my opinion, it was just for the media. Joe the Plumber, Joe Six Pack, lipstic wearing pitbulls, its all for advertising. Purpose is solely to grab a consumers/voters attention and it works sad to say.
that is sad
people should do their homework on the issues and candidates and then make up their minds who they want to vote for |

All those Obama supporters out there, do not get complacent. This fight is just beginning and it will not end until when the polls close on election day.
The polls can cause people to not vote and every vote is needed regardless to what the polls say.
Vote!!!!
Amen to that |

I dont think that theres a chance in h3ll he would endorse McCain. He stepped down as secretary because of conflicts of interest with the bush administration from what i remember. Powell is a great man perhaps he'd get his old job back.
that would be a good thing to happen
do you think he will enter the world of politics again? |

he would be a great part of the new administration
can't wait to hear what he has to say on Meet the Press
I think it would be great if he was a part of the administration...
then I also think that the candidates should announce who their Cabinet members are going to be prior to being elected...it makes a big difference who is going to be part of the administration to me.
I agree
it would help to know who their advisers are
that would show the candidates in a whole other light

The news that retired Gen. Colin Powell will appear this Sunday on "Meet the Press" has set off a frenzy of speculation that former secretary of State could throw his endorsement to Barack Obama.
Powell has made little secret of his admiration for the Illinois senator in the past but has always stopped short of outright endorsing him.
Will that change on Sunday? And, if it does, how much is Powell's endorsement really worth?
Read more here:

I hadn't really thought about what his endorsement will mean.
Any thoughts? |
