I wound up using this one on my daughter...it was one of my Mom's favorites...
Daughter limps in, crying...
me : " What did you do?? "
daughter : " I hurt my toooooeeeeeee..."
me : " Are you bleeding ? "
daughter : " No...<sniffle> "
me : " Are ya gonna die ? "
daughter : " No....<sniffle mixed with giggle> "
me : " Then go back outside and don't do whatever you did that hurt your toe "
All this, of course, in the midst of me actually checking to make sure she wasn't actually hurt. lol |

Girl or guy files for divorce.
Girl gets EVERYTHING except for guy's underwear.

Ok. So now that we have determined that I'm actually NOT hopeless....
I have a question for anyone interested in answering...I got the idea for asking this from someone I exchanged freidnly emails with last night....
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that almost all of the profiles here say pretty much the same thing? It's like there is a list of key words on the web somewhere that says you must use the words " laid back "..." easy going "..." down to earth "..." tired of games "...or some variation of those particular phrases.
Isn't some of that stuff kinda obvious?
" Liars and cheaters....keep looking " is a particularly good one.
What do you think the chances are that if a guy or gal IS a liar or a cheater, they are going to see that line and say " Whoops...guess I better go on to the next one ".
Just kinda wondering whether it's just me that finds that stuff a bit silly. |

Yeesh. I think it depends on how it's used.
For me, it also depends on who I am with. If the person I am with doesn't curse a lot, neither do I. It's a matter of courtesy.
If she doesn't swear on the first date, but cusses a blue streak on the second, well...then it doesn't really matter all that much. lol |

I am a member of several forums and it happens everywhere.
Some people just have nothing better to do, some people are just mean spirited in general. Some just don't have anything else going on in their lives and they have to make themselves feel less pathetic. |

Pretty? Yeah. Hot?? Not so much.
It's all about being secure with who you are.
I've never asked anyone if they think I am " hot " because I simply don't care all that much. I am who I am. Even if someone said I wasn't hot, there isn't a whole lot I could do ( other than actually grow hair and lose some weight ) to turn myself into hot.
Growing hair isn't possible because of genetics, and I am chubby because I don't look right when I'm thin. Being secure with yourself is all that's really needed.
When you are secure with your looks, it shows in your attitude and people notice. |

Cooking for one is a pain, but I have one recepie that is really good, even in leftover form.
Just cube up a couple of potatoes, cube up some American cheese, and buy a 1/4 ham and cube that up too.
Layer it all in a crock pot, potatoes on the bottom, ham in the middle and cheese on top. Add a little bit of milk and turn the crock on high till it starts to boil lightly, then back down the heat.
Cover it up, let it go for a couple of hours, stir it once in a while. If it's too thick, add more milk. Once the potatoes are tender, it's good to go. Season it however you like. I use salt, pepper and parsley flakes.
It freezes really well and usually tastes even better the second time around. |

Yeah....the main pic is a shot I took with my webcam and the lighting in my room isn't all that great.

Honestly, bad grammar really doesn't bother me as much as bad spelling. I understand that everyone makes typos...but they are easy enough to fix if the person that makes them just looks back at what they typed.
