Physical violence of ANY kind is abhorrent, PERIOD. Speaking as a person who had a violent girlfriend at one point (got the scars to prove it), it's just wrong.

I wish I had my 1960 Gibson Les Paul Gold-Top, Emerald-Green 1983 Fender Precision Elite Series bass guitar, and my late-seventies Gibson SG in tobacco sunburst. All three were stolen from me a while ago, and they were rather prized pieces in my collection.
