| I have some old paper money from all over the place, handed down from my childrens grandfather who traveled alot ....I had an amatuer look at it once and he told me it was parchment paper & wothless.I tried researching it but did'nt get to far. I would love to know if it really is anything good...but I don't trust anyone. |

From what I understand, the English language has always been that way. It's not phonetic, every rule of grammar has an exception, it's always borrowed words from other languages. Mainstream English words can completely change meaning (ex. 400 years ago, a shambles was marketplace). There have been debates over spelling for hundreds of years; English surnames used to have an infinite variety of spellings. Also, every generation in its history has had its own slang. Also, many slang and dirty words still in use date back hundreds of years.
(Didn't mean for the reply to be so long......)

I have this battle with my 15 yr old all the time... But I'm learning thier language....
everyones name is ..."Yo" or "dude"
Peace out means... "goodbye"
"Chillin" means...relaxing
When something is "Butter" .. that means it's good
"Fly" means something is cool.
My name is also "Yo" and sometimes "Dude"
A simple head nod means hello.
"Sup" also means hello.
"Keep it hangin" means take care.
"Kickin it" means hanging out with friends or dating some girl.
"Gotcha" means I understand
"Grubbin" means eating
there's so much more..... it's almost foreign!

Keep the digital converter by all means...and all other gifts!
Do not be at his beck and call...don't run out to meet him at night....don't even take his call that late...instead ,call him back in the morning and tell him when is good for you....if he don't like it ...tough!
