The first time I ordered chili when I was transfered to KY, they brought me a bowl of spaghetti. I told the waiter "Oops, I ordered chili, Joel." And he looked at me like I was an alien and said, "Yes, I know." The people sitting next to me explained that in Louisville it's tradition to serve chili on spaghetti.
Also, in some areas of Wisconsin it's tradition to put a pickle in a Bloody Mary instead of a celery, and tomato soup is served with a side of popcorn...it goes into the soup. It's actually quite good. |
