There are a few things I'd like to retrieve...26+ years of my life, my health, the money given to us as a couple by my mother, etc. Have all ready retrieved myself, along with my self-respect and most of my physical health.
The pain, the anger, the disillusionment? No, I wouldn't wish that on anyone...I'll keep the memory of all that as a lesson learned. |

You brought up the "antigovernment" stuff, I simply responded to it.
You want to endorse allowing a president to just decide who gets called an Enemy Combatant, just remember that these powers will transfer over and McCain isn't going to win, imo. SO are you comfortable with President Obama having the power to declare You an enemy combatant?
Or the president after that...or after that. The checks and balances of our government have been dangerously disrupted...they were put in place for a reason. G.W. should remember the adage, "Be careful what you wish for...". We all should... |

It may not be so difficult soon, bc...
Our concerns and responsibilities may be reduced in the near future to just the basics...food, clothing and shelter. It certainly will simplify our lives now, won't it? I'm afraid the Monday night football game and which celebrity is carrying who's baby aren't going to matter much for a while.
Maybe this is the reality check we all need to stop the madness? What are we? A nation of blockheads? Wonder if this is how my grandparents felt...living history. |

| Have you considered talking with women who already have a child? Single mom's might be a bit more interested in the settled lifestyle you are wanting. They already know there is more to life than partying. They may like to party now and then (girls do like to have fun, you know), but also must provide a homelife for their child everyday. Hope you're not discounting single mom's...there are many here who are terrific! |
