Well I guess I can say something on this topic. I hate to constantly lay ALL the blame on Christianity. My feeling is ANY fundamentalist religion that people insist on following blindly is bound to cause problems. In fact no one should ever feel they need to do that under any circumstances. As soon as you feel that your human right to question is being withheld or compromised, then its not a good situation for you to be in and you need to stand up for yourself and reassess. The only other places that goes on is dictatorship run small countries and prison. Americans are also the most religiously ignorant people in the western world. There is a tremendous emphasis put on blind adherence to a lot of lunacy or whatever they have been taught since childhood.
You always have the right to question dogmatic theology and especially if you are a woman. |

Im not feeling really inspired today so I stole this from another thread.
"The men of Israel wandered around the desert for 40 years...
even in biblical times, they wouldn't ask for directions."

I think the main health problems associated with a diet high in animal flesh or excess protein is triglycerides, cholesterol and colon blockage. If you eat a lot of meat like more than three times a week, Ive heard juice fasting for about 48 hours is good to clear some of that. They sell all those cleansing powders and stuff in the health food store. As long as your weight to height ratio is okay, its probably fine. Meat is easy but so are soups and things. The fast food you really want to avoid because it is generally like more fat in one meal than you required allotment in a week or something ludicrous like that. Men have a slightly higher fat requirement but not much higher.
Everyone is different. If your GP says you are fine, then you probably are. I gauge it by how I feel. Of course you can probably have cancer and feel fine for a long time before it is properly misdiagnosed. |

I think if they are rude to people in service positions I will walk away. I went out with a pompous ass type guy once and he yelled at a waitress in a restaurant. That was so embarrassing, I asked to go to the bathroom and bailed. I had to take a cab home. |

Yeah me to and honestly sometimes I will just want like a Fish fillet from McDonalds. I have not had one of those in years but something might trigger a craving. If I decide I really want something like that, I wont deny myself. Its just so oily and then normally i dont feel so great afterwords. But you never think that way while in the midst of craving something. |

Yeah I think I might have a tendency towards anemia also and that might be part of the problem when I have tried to go vegetarian and then started to have blood cravings. Ya know how your body will actually crave what it needs? I know that if you go on a vegetarian or vegan diet you have to be very careful that you are fulfilling the other vitamin and mineral supplements and also amino acids and people dont always do that or they get hungry so they over compensate on sugar and carbs. Too hard on the pancreas and can cause an overproduction in insulin. You gotta be careful. I am finding a healthy diet that is varied and exercise is fine as I get older. No complaints. Also, the less processed foods you eat, the better off you will be. |

| Right. I feel the same way. Humans are predatory animals and that means we consume other animals. The problem is the conditions that these animals are kept in which is very often inhumane or at least over crowded. The slaughter aspect is pretty difficult to watch because they do know. Also chicken farms can be quite horrible and sometimes they use lights on the hens to force them to lay all winter long. Its worth it to spend the extra money in the store for the free range eggs or raise your own. Half a dozen chickens will give you plenty of eggs for yourself and you can even give some away. Not everyone can keep chickens of course if you live within city limits. Im just saying if you can, they are easy pets. |

Well yeah. The restaurants kind of strategically lay it out so you are forced to wait there and they are hoping you will have some mixed drinks before you sit down. Its all very planned out. I generally wont have any mixed cocktail drinks because they are so expensive and Im a bit of a light weight. |

I know it is probably much more healthy physically to not eat meat. It's certainly less destructive for the environment. I admit that I can go for long periods of time not eating meat. I have done it before but generally something will set me off and I smell steak or I just want something bloody. Its almost primordial. Now I have the rabbit and maybe some fish on the rare occasion. Thats it. The rabbit is raised myself in spacious enclosures that I move outside weather permitting. No hormones. Thats also a concern with store bought chain meats is I just dont know what they are introducing into that feed for the cattle. |

Oh I totally agree with that JB> I once had a Vegan Nazi come after me about eating meat and he had Doc Martin boots on. I asked him what the hell he thought those boots were made out of and he just argued. They can be really silly. |

Ive never met a Pagan who proselytizes. They just dont. I dont even think there is a hard and fast rule that says they cant yet its not done. In fact, they expect you to hunt them down. They are generally very low key and private people. They prefer to be amongst other Pagans. That makes sense. If someone has questions, they will answer but what I have heard said on many occasions is that you cant just jump into something like this. Go get some books and read and understand what it is. Take a year or more to see if it sits well with you. Its not a matter of buying some cool pentagram jewelry and suddenly you are a High Priestess. |

| I know dates can add up quick but it depends where you are. You know some parts of the country are just more costly than others and incomes vary. $100-$200 can be average depending on what you do but not always of course. Plenty of less expensive things to do. Generally movie and dinner (the two classic date activities) you are looking at $100 at least if the restaurant is decent and you get wine or drinks. |

Yeah I guess its hard for me to see it from the man's perspective because I have been on the receiving end.
I think probably the best idea is to keep it simple like you were saying because you also never know how someone might misinterpret good intentions. Im okay with a man spending money just so long as its HIM spending the money of his own free will and not with any intention to "get something back for it." Because then the reality is, he probably should not be on a date at all but soliciting prostitutes. |

Oh, I catch your drift...hence, my post keeping the first few dates SIMPLE! Weeds out the undesireables...regardless of how desireable THEY think they are!
Yeah. I know I have had that happen when I was a little younger. A man might take me out and spend A LOT of money or do something weird I wasnt expecting and then clearly a form of compensation is expected of me. I just tried to get away. Thats really an awful feeling. |

| There are a lot of medicinal but also narcotic herbs. Powerful ones. I know you really need to be cautious with things like that and reference some kind of a "safe use" chart. The problem is you dont always know how a herb might effect your own body and it depends on your weight, any other illnesses you might have and chronic conditions or other medications you might be using. Women have been using medicinal herbs since we were cave people. They figured out how to induce abortion if they became pregnant at a bad time or they were going to be carrying in Winter. Not good. |

Okay thanks everyone. I am going with a higher resolution Logitech I think. I will find one online and order it. The last one I had was black and white so it was a few years back. One of those golf ball looking things. But back then, that was pretty much all anyone had like when they first came out. |
