I think this is a good topic.

I know (for me) if I get a message from a woman that doesn't have a picture, I usually just delete the e-mail. I might read it if I have a minute, but I'd much rather see a face. Most people have a digital camera these days, and if you don't have one you probably know somebody that does have one. Most people are fairly computer literate these days (they were smart enough to log on here, etc...) so navigating to the folder on your computer where the digital picture lies should not be much of a problem, either.

For all others, I think you should ask for help.

By not having a picture on an Internet meeting site, you are making a negative statement about yourself. It is not a conscious negative statement, but instead, a "first impression" statement you make as people come across your profile for the first time.

They say first impressions are everything.

In my opinion, not having a picture is like making a statement that you don't really care much about yourself. To me that isn't very attractive, so I steer clear of non-picture profiles. Also, in my opinion if you don't have a picture, it tends to hinder the credibility of your intentions on really, sincerely wanting to be here for anything besides games and entertainment. So, I pass on all profiles that do not have pics.

Or, there are the profiles that might as well have no pics because the one single pic they decided to post is so blurry and distorted that you can't possibly see who the person is.

Or, instead of having a picture of themselves, they have just a picture of their cat, some flowers, a fairy, or some thing other than a picture. (and no picture of themselves at all...) I think these are the biggest cop-outs because they are making a statement that they do indeed no how to post digital pictures, but they still don't think enough about themselves to post a pic of their mug.

Don't you realize that some guys are going to like you and write to you regardless if you are a super-model, and regardless if you are super-fit or in shape, etc.??? Beauty is MUCH deeper than skin tone. But if you don't try to love yourself a little bit, I really doubt you'll succeed at finding anyone to love you, either. If you don't love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to love you? Its kind of hypocritical to a point to not love one's self, yet expect others to love you. Its asking something of others to give you something that you are not willing to give to yourself.

I have all kinds of pictures on my profile. You might even learn something about me by checking out my pics. I even have a picture of myself when I was in the 3rd grade... :-)

The eyes are the windows to the soul..... so come touch someone's soul and let their eyes see who you really are....
