The man poem.
The man won’t leave you wondering if he’s really “there” or not,
You won’t have a single doubt,
The man won’t make you wonder if you are attractive or not,
You’ll feel like a beauty queen even when he’s nowhere near,
The man won’t always be “too tired” to do the things you want to do,
He won’t tell you to “go ahead” without him and he “doesn’t mind”,
He will be there, next to you, doing your things with you,
Just as you stand next to him and enjoy his things with him,
The man is someone who kisses you,
Even when it’s not time to leave for work,
The man hugs you when he sees you’ve had a hard day or turn of events,
Even if you say everything is “fine”,
AND he won’t get upset that you said everything is “fine”,
He understands that you are trying to protect him and not trying to manipulate him,
The man loves to touch you, whether you are dressed to the nine’s to go to a party,
Or you are sitting in sweats with a headache, cradling some hot tea,
He can’t keep his hands off you,
Simple as that,
The man couldn’t care less that he’s missing out on one game/race/fight,
He knows that you are supportive of his watching all the OTHER games/races/fights,
And he remembers that, in the end, you mean more then all of them,
And to show you, today, that you mean more then this one,
He will never forget to stop, once in a while, and put you first,
The man will never yell at you for having to get up to go to work to make money for the family,
He will realize that you are both making some sacrifices and that this is his part,
He will realize that keeping count of what you both are doing, only leads to stress and hurt,
He realizes that he wants this, you, more then anything in the world and if it’s in his power, he will do it,
without question of tally’s,
He also realizes that you are currently doing the same,
The man is not afraid to show that he loves you in a way that melts your heart,
It may make him look like a “pansy” to the world,
But it makes him look like a hero to you,
Mission accomplished,
The man will never let you stand alone to fight the wolves,
He will be at your side so fast and strong, you will be like one unit,
Fighting all that the world can dish out,
And he will be there to pick up the pieces afterward,
The man won’t ever ask you to change or give up “you”,
He will strive to be a compliment to “you”,
As you strive to be a compliment to “him”,
The man will never make you wish you were treated as well as his friends,
He will make you glad that you are so much more then merely a “friend” to him,
The man never wants to be treated like a god,
Being your personal hero suits him just fine,
The man will never let another think that he is unattached or just might be available,
He will let all know that he’s found his happiness,
It will show in his ring,
And in his smile,
The man won’t screw around with commitment,
He can’t wait to get a ring on your finger to let other men know that you are his,.......................... |
