What about the permnant press cycle and if you have the front loading type machines there is a cycle that will dry your clothes and not leave wrinkles if you pull them out and hang them up

Why yes I have when my husband died many years ago. I was so depressed I thought about killing myself but the energy it would have taken was more than what I had at the time.
I have been there a couple of times not for years

Topic: PASSION... Mon 11/03/08 08:44 PM
QUOTE:

I think my whole life, everyone I have had a close relationship with and even my Family, all but my sons, have brought me down on chasing and fulfilling my passions. I have always been great at so many things throughout life. I'm very talented and everytime I tried using those talents in attempts to better my life, reach a goal, and make a living; those closest to me have shot down my dreams and passions. Now, I'm chasing them full force!

What are some of your passions you wish you could pursue or wish you had???

I can totally relate to this thought process. When I got cancer back in 94 it hit me that I was so busy living my life for other and what they wanted for me that I hadn't really done the things I had always wanted to do, after chemo and radiation I chose to live each day as if it would be my last and with no regrets.
I have done that and I can honestly say I am living my passions and when a new one strikes me I go for it.
The one thing I never want to think or hear when I am dying is
If only
I would of... could... should of
Not me never.
I want to know I did it my way

Topic: Ever thought about your funeral? Mon 11/03/08 12:00 PM
Yes I have given great thought to my funeral since I have buried way to many in the last few years.
I want no big funeral, I dont' want flowers etc. I want to be remembered as I am a simple woman and if you feel the need to give flowers take them to a hospital or an nursing home give them to someone that can still smell and enjoy them since I am gone.
I want my ashes split in two part of me over the ocean where I spend so much of my time the other half over the mountains where I ache to be alot of the times.
I want my friends and family then to have a huge potluck dinner and celebrate my life as I have done while I was alive. I don't want a lot of tears share the good times or share how I touched you in that special way.
Since I don't believe death is the end I will always be there either through my children and grandchildren or I will be in the breeze on your cheek or the warmth in the sun. Since I don't honestly believe I will ever totally die. I will always be around in spirit of life.

Topic: do you make a list?? Mon 11/03/08 11:50 AM
I actually have a standard list I use and I buy throught out the year. And yes I do buy for the postman, paperboy, my florist gets a small gift.
I actually make most of my gifts.
I also have a few extra small gifts so I am not caught with out a gift for someone I always forget. I have done that once and it was so embarrassing to me that I now keep extra stuff on hand to give out.

Well I think it would depend on the soundness of the business of what I would do. If the business is going good and will continue to grow and prosper I would buy his sorry ass out. If it was not I would get out as fast as I could with what ever I could.
Is business like marriage I am not sure since I don't mix business and pleasure period. I am very very black and white in business.

Topic: Are you too internet sensetive? Sun 11/02/08 05:33 PM
First of all great post and topic.
QUOTE:

How do you take whats said on the internet?

I take what is said out here with a granual of salt. People come in all walks of life and they all articulate in their own way. I do admit I find quite a bit of comic relief from it.

QUOTE:
Do you take it seriously?

Not really, I do believe there are some posts and threads that are very serious for the poster, I can take a step back and be neutral give my opinion knowing full well I could get bashed for it and not care. I think you need to keep a balance.

QUOTE:
DO you take it personally?

Most of the time NO I don't take it personally if and when someone bashes and trashes my word I will attempt to handle it via email and I feel confident that my opinion is valid maybe not right but valid.
Do you attack others for their opinions? NEVER I may attack their words but never them.
QUOTE:

Do you find yourself sad or hurt?
Rarely for myself if I am it is time to step away from the keyboard, I will admit I have hurt or been saddened for others and what they are going through.
QUOTE:
Why? what drives your emotions to different levels

I think my emotions become involved when it strikes close to home by that I mean when I have either experienced it personally or via my surroundings.

Or he was just kidding and it was taken out of context

Well if it was taken out of context he had a few minutes to offer since I had to untie a hiking boot shake the thing out all the while making sure I didn't put my foot down since it was muddy.

I have never asked a man to hold my purse in my life. That defies my logic on the why of that any more than I would hold his wallet.

OH hell...
I didn't have to say anything dated a local cop and broke up with him. There for a while I thought I was going to break the record for traffic infractions on the island.

Topic: A Few Extra Pounds... Sun 11/02/08 05:01 PM

Coming from a family that is basically split between people that gain weight by just looking at something, then the rest of us stuffing ourselves just to keep our weight to a normal range.
I have great empathy for people that try to loose weight keep in shape no I am not talking about doing a gym regime hours on end;p but eating sensibly, splurge once in a while and get off the sofa.
I have no problems with them. The people I have problems with are these two types here.

1. The person that can polish off a pint of ice cream and a dozen cookies in one sitting if they had to walk around the block that would be an expedition. Then go to a fast food joint order every thing super sized to top it off they then get a diet soda to my way of thinking, why bother??? Then I hear them gripe that their clothes are to tight and they hardly eat anything. This is type A.

2. The skinny person that is constantly whining about not gaining weight yet they eat nothing substantial and wonder why they are burning more than they are taking in.

I have both types in my family and it drives me nuts. I have to eat about 3500 calories a day to keep my weight where it needs to be.

So is there two sides of the coin always. The bottom line is to be happy with who and what you are and not make excuses for the short comings either embrace them or do something about it.

Dump him! it was about helping you not tarnishing his manhood

Wait as I stated he was not dating material just a friend that I would hike with once in while.
Like I have stated I wouldn't date him, I will admit I am so glad to hear the responses since it enforces what I thought he was the one with the problem not my dog.
