A small town in New Hampshire already tallied their votes like they do every election. This small town always goes major republican, and this time...they voted overwhelmingly for Obama. If the same goes elsewhere, Obama has himself a victory!
To all of you who have voted and will vote....congratulations, and thank you for caring about your country, regardless of who you voted for. |

Mon 11/03/08 07:10 PM |
Ever thought about that before?
I went to school in a heavy republican state, and was even VP of the conservative club at my university. In 2004 I voted for Bush, and like 37% of people who did, I now regret it. Dont make the same mistake again, everyone. Please, dont.
Everytime McCain says he will do something, I always ask "how? The senate and house will be a vast majority of democrats, enough to override a veto...so how will things get done?".
-Just today, McCain's campaign manager said "if the voters go to the polls thinking about the economy, we will lose".
-One of McCain's top advisors said that Sarah Palin has "gone wacko".
-The day after Obama's infomercial, McCain had so very little people at his rally, that his campaign had to bus people from schools around the area to make his rally look full. Both CNN AND FOX reported this.
-The other day at a rally in Ohio, Joe the Plumber was supposed to show up but wasnt there....this goes to show how disorganized McCain's campaign is. He cant even manage his own campaign!
-McCain's home state of Arizona....is now a toss-up state. What does that tell you?
-McCain voted 90% of the time with Bush...
-Before Clinton was president, Republicans accused him of being "too inexperienced, wanting to raise taxes, too young"...and look how great he did. Anyone who says Clinton was horrible, is in obvious denial. My whole family is STRONG republican, and even they know he was excellent. So he had sex in the oval office, wow big deal...we need to stop being so closed minded!
-Early voting has already shown in swing states, that registered democrats have been outnumbering registered republicans by as much as 4 to 1.
-Ron Paul and Bob Barr WILL steal many votes from McCain. Nobody cares about Nader anymore, and McKinney isnt too popular amongst green party people. Ron Paul will surely be the Nader of 2000 and 2004 who practically cost Gore and Kerry the election.
-Colin Powell endorsed Obama.
-The number of newly registered democrats since 2004 has grown past 3 million. And republicans, is only around 200K. In states where Bush barely won, like Florida and Ohio....approximately 40% of democrats voted...you think more democrats will vote this time? YOU BET THEY WILL!
-If you listen to McCain speak, he is SO NEGATIVE, he says the same things over and over again! More and more, people are tired of his negativity. During debates, he sounds like an angry old man. McCain can barely lift his arms, and he thinks hes fit to lead??? Just today he brought in Arnold Schwarzenegger and he totally bashed Obama for his "skinny legs and arms". Wow, very middle school...(yet McCain said weeks ago "we will be respectful"). He always brings up the same "Obama will raise ur taxes" jargon, which have been proven wrong time and time again.
-McCain talks about Obama having little foreign policy experience, yet Obama is on the foreign relations committee, and his VP (Biden) is the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
-Rupert Murdoch, head of FOX, says Obama will win in a landslide.
-McCain said something really dumb the other day. He said he loves being the underdog, that he does his best when hes losing. Hmm, when has McCain EVER been losing? In 2000, and he LOST (to Bush). Besides that, McCain has NEVER been losing.
-Sarah Palin...has a pretty low approval rating as governor. Shes a woman, in a state where abuse towards women is the HIGHEST. She said the war in Iraq is a task from God, and she said if Russia invaded Georgia again, she would wage war with Russia (if she became president). And yes, she believes dinosaurs existed a few thousand years ago.
-I love how gas prices are suddenly going down, and OPEC just said they will cut production in November. Oh what a coincidence, lower prices before the election, and then raise them after the election....wow. Campaign strategy by the GOP ya think?
-McCain supporters irritate me. Calling Obama a terrorist, or saying he has ties to terrorists, downing him for his color, etc is just gross. I thought America new better than that. If Obama was a terrorist, how on earth did he pass the lengthy background investigation to become a senator? If Bill Ayers was a terrorist, why isnt he in jail?! How come hes a college professor? Doesnt anyone ask these questions?!
-A recent poll was done around the world, McCain .vs. Obama. The final tally was 82% to 9%.....OBAMA. Yet here, Obama leads by maybe 7-9%. This election will prove just how smart the American people really are.
Its simple....4 more years of this, or 4 years of change. Dont make the same mistake many of us made 4 years ago, 37% of us who voted for Bush now regret it.
If you're an Obama supporter, post this on other forums u subscribe to. This is an off-topic (from dating) thread, so its perfectly fine. Posting in the political section is dumb, everyone there already knows who they support, Im trying to reach out to independents. |

Please dont move this, I speak to everyone on this forum and its important.
I dont care who you vote for, just VOTE! 250 million people are able to vote and only 120 million people actually vote!
Guys, rather than worry about stupid sh!t like when the next time ur getting drunk is or meeting a hot girl whos gonna eventually give you a headache, worry about your country!
Girls, rather than worry about when the next time you're gonna meet a hot guy and eventually get cheated and used by, like the last 20 guys u dated is, or when the next time you get to act like a skank is and then wonder why all guys are jerks, VOTE! For once, think about the future of your country, and not just your social life. Think about productive things. I realize most people think life is all about now and dont realize there is a "10 years from now", but there is.
And chances are the people you chill with now who are only your friends til they screw you over, you wont even see them in 10 years, so dont let them dictate your life. Just go to the polls and vote! Lets have a record turn out! I know the truth hurts and denial isnt just a river in Egypt, but for once think with your brain and use common sense, and do the right thing! For once, dont forget your values and morals when you're out enjoying life, just tell your friends "no i gotta vote today".
I understand your friends wont accept you if you dont party and be stupid like them, but thats their problem. VOTE!
Girls, you always have wednesday to go to a club dressed like a prostitute and bend over in front of some drunk idiot then wonder why all guys are jerks,
Guys, u always have wednesday to pick up some drunk girl whos eventually gonna accuse you of rape and spread rumors about you.
Dont deny it! VOTE! |

| Topic: Not sure who you're voting for next week? |
Mon 10/27/08 04:59 PM |
This is very important, because its about the good of your country, "not voting" is very irresponsible.
Dont vote republican simply because your republican, and same goes with Dems. Look at their "on the issues" on their website, and see for yourself their views.
I worked for the John McCain campaign as a campaign director for a little over a year, and the obvious choice for the Presidency is simple.....Barack Obama. This is why Obama should win...
-McCain is barely winning in his OWN HOME STATE of Arizona.
-McCain supporters...I am so tired of people saying Obama is a terrorist and has ties to terrorists, and hating him for his color. If Obama was a terrorist, he wouldnt be a senator, he'd never pass their background investigations! If Bill Ayers was a terrorist, why isnt he in jail?! Why is he now a professor at a college??? Obama isnt even fully black, his mother and grandparents are white. Im sorry but many McCain supporters are so ignorant and racist.
-The amount of newly registered democrats is well over 2 million. Newly registered Republicans is around 200,000. States which Bush barely won, are now blue states. States which Bush barely won, he won because the majority of democrats didnt even vote! You think theyre gonna vote now? You bet!
-Obama wont raise taxes, nor will he invade Pakistan, he has stated that hundreds of times, and McCain continuously says he will raise taxes and invade Pakistan. Joe the Plumber isnt even a licensed plumber, and he owes money to the IRS. And McCain is using this guy to help himself??? Ouch.
-The GOP strategy on gas prices is pissing me off. Suddenly gas prices are going down, even though OPEC cut production. Some say OPEC wants to help McCain, well thats hilarious because McCain wants to drill HERE, and Obama wants to drill THERE. Drilling overseas is better, because most Arabs whoa re rich, are rich because of OIL. In 20 years when they run out of oil, they wont be rich anymore and we will be paying 2 dollars a gallon, and WE will be the rich ones since everyone will come to us for it. So uhh, why are gas prices going down then? Our country has enough control over the gas prices, and its a strategy by the GOP to help McCain.
-Just recently, the largest Alaskan newspaper endorsed.....OBAMA. Thats a slap in the face to Palin!
-Ron Paul will be on the ballot in almost 30 states. Ron Paul won a few primaries by the way. Bob Barr is an ultra conservative, and him and Paul WILL take many votes from McCain. McKinney and Nader wont take many votes from Obama, since nobody likes McKinney and people gave up on Nader.
-There is no Bradley Effect. Bradley ran for governor of California and lost in 1980. Who won the Presidency in 1980? Ronald Reagan. Where was Reagan from? California. Plus, Bradley wasnt winning in ALL the polls, just SOME. Thirdly, Bradley won the vote on election day, but it wasnt until all the absentee ballots came in, when he lost. So there is no "bradley effect". Research it!
-McCain bashes Obama's foreign policy experience, even though as a senator, Obama is on the foreign policy committee, AND Joe Biden (his VP) is the HEAD of the foreign policy committee.
-Sarah Palin has so much controversy everyday. First the troopergate, then her pregnant teenage daughter, NOW she has the money spending, about how she spent so much campaign money on flying her family around, and on her wardrobe. We dont need anymore controversy.
-The GOP and RNC have bailed on McCain, and are not giving him anymore money. Im sure they know hes gonna lose. Plus, McCain is old, and if you saw him during the debates, he sounded like an angry old man. He can barely lift his arms, and he wants to LEAD?
-McCain tries to bash Obama for Iraq. Obama said Iraq was a mistake, and SOME soldiers argue, and SOME agree. Yet a British general said we will never win in Iraq, and so did some of our commanders. Obama wants to move soldiers from Iraq, to Afghanistan, and THAT, is a good choice.
-McCain said something really stupid. He said "we are down in the polls and we are the underdogs, thats exactly what we want. I always do better when Im losing"......hmmm, and when was the last time McCain was losing??? He was the underdog in 2000 and LOST. Besides that, hes NEVER been the underdog....
-Choosing Sarah Palin was his biggest mistake and he knows it. He chose her simply for her image, and to attract Hillary supporters, which he has failed to do. He kept her out of interviews until late, and she never answers questions, dodges them. She makes false accusations constantly, AND she got whooped by Biden in the debate. If you notice when McCain and Palin are together, he blinks a lot...
-McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time. Enough said.
-McCain wants to give oil companies a tax break. He wants to give 4 billion in tax breaks to Exxon, whos been making double digit profits!
-McCain always talks about Obama being a socialist and raising taxes...well lets look at this, European countries are quite socialist, yet European countries are the happiest, most laid back. Plus they enjoy FREE healthcare and cheap education...and no u dont need to wait in lines for hours there. People who make over 250K can afford to pay more, rather than spend it on another car that they dont need!
-Obama is leading in Ohio, Missouri, hes gaining a lot in Georgia, winning in Florida, Ohio, even North Dakota and Montana. You can check for yourself on a very good site, its: electoral-vote.com the guy who makes that site has been correct for the past dozens of years, hes very accurate and provides lots of detail. So check daily for yourself.
-No matter who wins this election, it really doesnt matter who the president is....it has MORE to do with who the senators and congressmen are. The Dems are poised to take a controlling lead in both the house and senate BY FAR. As of now, theres 49 Dems and 40 Republicans, and 2 independents in the house. The past 4 years have sucked, because nobody can get anything done. Its not the Dems fault, the man who SIGNS and VETO'S these bills is a REPUBLICAN. After November 4th, the Dems are poised to add 10-15 Senators and MUCH MORE representatives, meaning McCain will get ZERO done.
-Colin Powell (General, and worked under Bush) just endorsed Obama. Scott McLellan (former White House spokesman under Bush) just endorsed Obama, and so did Billy Joel and Maria Shriver, lol.

| Topic: The most violent sport and it needs to be banned: MMA |
Tue 10/21/08 05:43 AM |
Written by myself, a guy who did Karate, Tae Kwon Do, BJJ, Grappling, Amateur Boxing, and MMA and was an instructor and now im an ACSM personal trainer. These "sports", if you want to call them that, need to be banned. They are nothing but pure violence, and instructors try to brainwash you into thinking otherwise.
These instructors try to use words like focus, balance, concentration, coordination, discipline, self-control (stuff you can learn in ANY sport, lol) to make it seem like a good sport. They say its not about fighting, even though....ummm, its called "fighting" lol. And the people who do it are called "fighters", and UFC stands for Ultimate FIGHTING Championship. I bet you never thought about that, did you?
What do swimmers do? They swim. Runners? They run. Cyclists? They bicycle. Shooters? They shoot. What do plumbers do? They plumb. What does a runningback do? He runs. So, what do "fighters" do? They FIGHT. I thought fighting was assault, isnt assault illegal?
When a soccer player scores a goal, why does he run all over the field in excitment? Because hes excited at his focus, balance, coordination? No, hes excited he scored a goal. So why do "fighters" parade around the cage after knocking out someone? Because their excited to have great focus, balance, coordination, etc? No. Theyre excited they just whooped someones ass. Is that so hard for people to realize? In any other sport, if someone is injured, everyone kneels and prays together, like when Anquan Boldin got knocked out in the NFL game weeks ago. In MMA, someone is always on the ground injured after a fight, and the whole crowd is cheering. Wow, thats disgusting.
Have you ever watched a UFC "fight"? UWC "fight?" Pride "fight"? What are they doing? FIGHTING. Why do they stare each other down beforehand? Because "dude, i got better concentration than you!"....no, they stare each other down because they wanna whoop the other guys' ass.
Have you ever looked up in a dictionary what "boxing", "kickboxing", and "martial arts" means? Boxing means "FIGHTING with the fists", kickboxing means "a martial art and sport of attack and defense", and martial arts means "art of war". Hmmm, art of war? Why is "art of war" being taught to people who arent in war, or to 5 year olds??? And why is it that everytime you tell THIS to people in mma and all those sports, they get so mean and defensive, i thought MMA taught RESPECT?? People dont get mean or defensive if you bash baseball, soccer, swimming, etc....but then again, MMA is pretty much the only sport with so much controversy surrounding it. I wonder why...
Over and over again, people in these sports talk about how safe it is, how its MUCH safer than gymnastics, soccer, hockey, etc. Again, what do hockey players do? Play hockey. What do soccer players do? Play soccer. What do fighters do? FIGHT. Compare the amount of blood spilt in MMA, to soccer. Compare the amount of people passed out in MMA, to gymnastics. NOW which is worse? If someone dies in soccer, its not as a result of SOCCER. There have been deaths in football, but because the guy got a heart attack or something. In MMA, the deaths theyve had, were a result of the FIGHT.
If soccer, football, hockey, etc has more injuries, perhaps its because soccer/football/hockey players compete on a WEEKLY basis. Whereas in MMA and all those violent sports, they compete every month or every few months.
So MMA teaches balance, focus, concentration, coordination, body conditioning? So does every other sport. So how come soccer players can play for 2 hours and not get worn out? But in MMA, Kimbo Slice gets knocked out in 14 seconds by a no-name guy with pink hair. Tim Sylvia gets choked out within a minute or two by Fedor. And some people get knocked out in a matter of seconds. Yeah, sounds to me like they have incredible body conditioning. How come Brock Lesnar went out for football and couldnt even make the practice squad for the Vikings?
MMA isnt about fighting? So why did Chuck Lidell say in an NBC interview, "we wouldnt do doing this stuff if we didnt have issues". Why did Matt Serra say "we had a drink and went our seperate ways, i dont fight friends". But, MMA isnt about fighting, right? Cant someone compete their focus, balance, concentration, coordination with a friend? Of course! Why did Fedor say "every man i fight, i view him as someone trying to send me back to my days of poverty, so this man must be eliminated"...hmm, but MMA isnt about fighting, right? If MMA is about respect, self-control, discipline....then uhh, why are they fighting? Have any of you ever thought about THAT before??
Ive seen a few MMA shows, like Fight Science, Combat Sports on Comcast...and the whole show was basically showing every way to hurt a person, how to hit them hard enough it damages their body, or gives them a concussion.....wow, thats sickening. Not to mention most people in these sports that I know, I ask them why they do it, and they say its because they love fighting, kicking people's asses, hurting people legally. These are the same people who want the "Gladiator" days of Ancient Rome to come back, where people KILLED each other. Thats so gross.
Who watches UFC and all these pointless sports? MOST are young people, Rednecks, College kids, Drunks, party goers, "Bad asses", people in the military who love fighting, troublemakers. If MMA was such a safe, good sport...why did so many states ban it at first? Some still have rules on it. Why isnt it mainstream? Why isnt MMA in the olympics? Boxing and tae kwon do are, but they are on the verge of being taken out of the olympics. EliteXC was on CBS twice, but thats on the verge of being taken out too. Why?
Many times, MMA people try to say, "its about self defense. If someone came in your home and tried to attack your mother, would u just sit there?"....uhh, what on EARTH does some criminal intruding in my house and attacking my mother, have to do with me getting in a cage with some random guy who did NOTHING to me? I have my own martial art, its called "ball kicking". If a guy attacks you, u kick him in the nuts and you win, but that according to MMA guys and "tough guys" is called "being a *****"...because yes, if some guy has a knife or gun to you, you DONT want to be a *****, you want to be TOUGH, right? No. The last thing on your mind is "i dont wanna be a ***** about this".
Funny how the rate of people being attacked, assaulted, sexually assaulted, and raped is on the RISE, and in the same time, MMA people try to say their sport is fast-growing. So either these mma people are learning NOTHING about how to defend themselves in the real world, or they are taking their knowledge to the streets and beating people up for fun. MMA guys try to say fighting is in our nature.....umm, no its not. Ive been on this earth for a long time and ive NEVER got into a fight OUTSIDE of the cage. Im sure MMA is on the rise, because people enjoy violent entertainment.
These people are simply brainwashed, and they enjoy what they do because they are able to fight legally, take their anger, frustration, stress out on people. Yes you learn confidence in MMA, because before you'll say "uhh no, i wont knee him in the liver", but NOW ull say "hell yeah i will!". So yeah, its not GOOD confidence. How exactly does kicking someone in the head, punching someone, kneeing them in the liver, choking them out, a GOOD thing? How does that teach focus, balance, concentration, etc? How is that SAFE? Why is it that when a guy is knocked down and defenseless, the attacker STILL goes at him? THAT, is what really proves that its about fighting.
Any other sport alive, teaches focus, balance, concentration, coordination...SAFELY, and its FUN too. And nobody watches UFC for any other reason besides, they wanna watch someone get the **** beat out of them. People who say otherwise, get a life, you're only lying to yourself, thats like a college kid saying "i wanna go to Amsterdam to see the beautiful scenery." NO, u wanna go to Amsterdam to do drugs and get laid.
Not to mention, almost every medical association alive, speaks AGAINST the sport. Almost every doctor, speaks AGAINST the sport. I wonder why...
I really dont need to sit here and explain bit by bit, WHY its such a bad sport, and why it really is violence and about fighting. If you're not smart enough to watch a fight and say, "damn, thats violent and cruel, why do people do that?" then you've got some issues. Its okay for 2 people to step in a ring and beat the **** out of each other, but its not okay for 2 kids in a hallway to fight? And 2 kids in a hallway are fighting for a REASON. Why did Fedor choke out Sylvia? What, did Sylvia steal his girlfriend? And, why on earth do they allow you to CHOKE people??? Plus, school fights arent as violent as MMA fights.
I mean seriously, whats so entertaining about watching 2 people beat each other up??? What are we, middle schoolers? In the world we live in, shouldnt we be teaching people NOT to fight? 7 years ago this country got attacked, yet 7 years later WE are still beating each other up. Honestly I hope it gets mainstreamed one day, because since we live in a country full of whiney parents, parents will start to whine constantly about pro fighting being on TV, THEN congress will start to act to get rid of it. Lastly, just think of the long term effects of being hit in the head, knee'ed in the liver, choked so much...theres a reason UFC and boxing doesnt talk about its old fighters who are now in their 50s and 60s...
So let me get this straight...our country wants to ban gay marriage, yet they dont want to ban 2 people beating the blood out of each other? They wont show sex, the most natural and normal thing alive on free tv, yet theyll show two people beating the blood out of each other on free tv?? Wow... |
