I had a child with a married woman. Her husband never denied I was the father. I supported her. I gave money for the child not only to her mom but also to the husband. When the child was 2, I went to the Child Support Enforcement agency (In Ohio) and file for paternity. The forms I filled out where for a woman. They didnt even have the right forms for a man. The mother was on welfare separated from her husband. It the CSEA 2 years to say theres was nothing I could do as there was an established paternity all ready. I couldnt get it done without the mother or husband coming forward. I continued to support her through buy her what she needed, being there for her. I have had a great relationship with her since day one. Well nine years later the CSEA went after the husband for back support. He didnt want to pay it and denied the child was his. The CSEA finally came to me to do a paternity test. At court the judge interview the child and ask her what she wanted. She says I want to live with my dad. She was 11 then and has lived with me ever since. So never give up on your child and you will be rewarded. Curious if anyone one else has been thru something like this...

Glad to see everything worked out for you.flowerforyou

In most states, you only have 60 days after an Acknowledgment of Paternity paper is signed to get paternity established. Once that expires, they pretty much assume that you are saying you are the dad and not wanting to have any tests done to confirm it.
