I have to push really hard on my B key to get it to work.
I am using an HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop. Does anyody know if you can safely remove a key without doing perminant damage to it?
I kinda like all the letters in the alphabet. It makes it easier for a person to understand when they use them all. And really is this world not already confusing enough? I think so, so why add to it? Please help me!

You should be able to just pop it right off of there and clean it, I would think...I would hope. I was told by a computer tech that you can actually spray keyboards wiuth water, completely soak them and as long as you lay them upside down and they get completely dry, you can just plug them right back in and use them...I for one will not try that...but that was what I was told.

Trust me I have not even had this thing a year and already, the cam has a mind of it's own and my keys stick.
OK, going to go do the pop and clean now.
And Miss.Kim thank you for the advice but this is a laptop I can not soak it in water.

Take a picture of the hole where the "B" goes and the bottom of the key and send them to me, I'll see if I can see what is wrong with it.

Stop typing 'Boobs' so hard and fast.

Not my fault when I say No boobs for you, that you do not get the hint.

Where I work we get plenty of people spilling crap on their keyboard and making keys stick.
Go get some "Electrical Solvent Cleaner".
Spray a decent amount under the key, press it a few times and repeat until you're happy.
Works 80% of the time for me.

I take the keys off my keyboard all the time to clean it, use a butterknife. You won't hurt it, just kinda becareful to avoid scratches, chips, etc. when taking them off.

I have solved the problem with the B button sticking. I accidentally pulled it off and now I can not get it back on.

Make sure the laptop is off and the power is unplugged. Replace the B key where it goes and press it in firmly, but don't push too hard on it just enough to get it to stick in.
