1. I think you should let us be able to do searches for certain topics.

2. I also think that if I were to block someone, it should tell them that they have been blocked.

3. I think thats all.

if you have someone blocked and they try to email you, does it tell them then that they are blocked?

The forum search has been requested a lot, as you might imagine. It's just a matter of time before it happens, in my estimation.

With respect to blocking another user, do you mean that an email should be sent to him/her? Or, are you saying that the blocked user should get a "blocked" message when he/she tries to email the person?

Thanks for the input, Lara.

Hey Charles, thanks.smile

If the user tries to contact the person that blocked them, they should get a message letting them know they are blocked. As far as I know, as I have done some research on this, they can send a message and think it was sent.? Anyhow, they should get the point that said person doesn't want anything to do with them. Maybe it would help change their ways.tongue

Cheers!drinker

also If you have blocked someone can they still view your profile?
If they can that is kind of creepy I think.

Thanks for the clarification, Lara. That might be doable, because a "blocked" message is given on the IM.

BettyB, a blocked user is still able to look at your profile.

Any chance of changing that? If I have gone to the extreme of blocking someone it means I don't want to communicate with them. So, why would I want them to be able to see my profile and know about me?

It is highly unlikely that will change, simply for the reason of resources, which are better used towards other features. Once someone is blocked, i'm sure they will soon tire of viewing the profile anyway. I do not see implementing such a feature as feasible, however, I'm sure the site admins will consider it.
