Blessings
You know the ones that take your breathe away
When your daughter reminds you of the importance of Hope
Funny this is something I have taught since the beginning
When your 14 year old tells you ( Yo ya Yo I love You )
When you drop him off at school, with all his friends standing around
Blessings
A friend who extends his/her hand in time of need
One who knows that silence sometimes is the key
A good laugh sent in an email
A tear shed between the laughter
A simple How’d dee dooooo
Blessings
A simple smile from a stranger
That warm cup of coffee given to the man on the street
Friendships made not like any other kind
Compassion found in the oddest places
Life how awesome,,
Blessings
Knowing that obstacles are a way of waking us up
Providing us the tools we need to move forward
Allowing us to see what we once took for granted
Obstacles… we all can overcome
Wait not on the world to change,, change starts within

One of flesh and blood the other of spirit
Blessed for I have been given not one but many families
A little bother who thinks his much older sister just rawks
Blessed for I have been given wisdom, advice, love from a mother from a far
Blessed because I have been given a sister with a rope
Who wraps her arms and rope around me when I start to slip away
Blessings come in man forms from thoughts and words to the people who are in your life path for all time
Blessed for I have life, love, happiness and inner peace after many years of darkness
To be able to call Momma at 3 am her time and curl up in a ball crying whispering "Momma I hurt, its broken"
Her words fill my ears across the phone lines, wrapping around m soul giving comfort and ease
To be able to call Momma at 9pm my time and laugh , sharing my joy and elation saying "Momma I am whole"
Blessed, truly blessed in ways I have never before been
All because I chose to let them in
I love you Momma & Txs Gurly...please tell my little bro I love him too!!

Dammit now that brought tears to my eyes. I remember signing up two years ago and from the first time I read your words you had me totally in awe.
I have never seen so much feeling within words upon a page. You're words takes you to the place or situation you’re writing about and grabs your heart in many different ways. I will have to admit at times back then the tears would flow knowing what I was reading was true and the road life had taken you at times.
My heart went out to you I can't forget the picture of you dressed in Goth. It seems you were sinking within the shadows more and more for there is where you felt safe.
Even though your writing captured my soul then you have done a full 360 since then and your writing has not only captured my soul but my heart as well. You have come a long way and I know within my heart you will never slip into the shadows as you were then for I still see you as My Rose in Bloom. That keeps blooming more and more. I love ya gurly
But... now if it was not for you and a couple more I would have never tried writing anything much lest post them. I had only written 4-5 things before signing up to this site and had no intentions of anyone reading them. Due to you're encouragement for me to post here I finally took that step and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening your heart to me as well.
