As Thanksgiving nears, I wonder if we all really are thankful for what we should be thankful for...so here is some Thanksgiving wishes to you all and I hope you have a wonderful feast and time with your families.
Do We Take The Time?
Every year, about this time
Are we really thankful for what we have?
It's a time for Thanksgiving
And for families to be glad.
Thankful, for the bountiful feast
That God has blessed upon your table,
Thankful, for His son
That was born in the stable.
Thankful, for the life we have
And for the things he has given to us,
Thankful, for just being here
Even when we raise such a fuss.
Thankful, for not giving us anymore
Than the things that we can handle,
Even though it does seem
Our life burns at both ends of the candle.
Thankful, we are given this time
To be with family and friends,
Thankful yes, that the visiting
Soon comes to an end.
Thankful, we have a place to clean up
And a place to call our own,
Thankful, that God watches
Over our blessed home.
