Don't know if this subject has been created before, but I thought I would list some of the best RPG games I have played.
1. STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC(XBOX)- Honestly, I don't think I will ever see another RPG that is as good as this one was. Mass Effect has the potential, but man, KOTOR was just a 10/10.
2. LEGEND OF ZELDA: WINDWALKER(GC)- I love this series, but I find that this one is the best (Not that any of them sucked. Just thought this one was the best developed of all the Zelda titles).
3. NEVERWINTER KNIGHTS (PC)- If you play multiplayer, going to servers that ordinary people like you and me create, then this is one of the best games that ever did that. The story mode is good too, but where it is at is multiplayer.
4. STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II....THE SITH LORDS(XBOX)- To me, not as great as the original, but a solid game nonetheless.
Okay. I did not put Warcraft on here cause I never got into it. But, anyways, time for you guys to list your favs.

No one said so I will claim it as my favorite RPG. I loved Skies of Arcadia. I also really like the Grandia series.. except for Grandia 1 because I found it too tedious.

To those who listed Final Fantasy Tactics...
...would it be an RPG or a turn-based strategy game?
It definitely has RPG elements, but it's gameplay is more turn-based strategy, wouldn't you think?
That's why I didn't list it in my fav's. But, if it is by consensus and RPG, then that's one of my top favs too.

any and all of the old old 3d0 games. might and magic series, krondor, all that stuff.
for ps2 the everquest games.
