Hola. I am a liberal, music-loving, book-reading girl, who doesn't take life too seriously. I am a biology major, but taking a year off. I love to laugh. I eat tofu AND steak. I want to meet new people, without a lot of drama or pressure. I prefer board games to television, and soccer is the only sport I will pay to watch. I like McMenamin's at happy hour, Anna Bananas coffee shop, Powell's books. I like to talk about ideas, and learn about new things. I'm open-minded, but opinionated too! I like a good argument, even if I lose. I am not afraid to enjoy life, even though taking risks means getting hurt sometimes. I'm independent and I like my own space, but I'm also social and love to be with people. I am easy to get along with, patient, and tolerant, but I don't have the time or energy for games in a relationship. I am affectionate, enthusiastic, sometimes a bit goofy. I'm proud to be a geek, and if you don't want to have your ear talked off then don't get me started talking about science! I do NOT believe that men are pigs, unlike some women. Men are just men, and we are all just people doing our best. Fancy cars and expensive toys don't mean much to me- but I admit I would be lost without my ipod! I am fortunate to be good friends with my ex (and his girlfriend), and we always try to do what is best for the kids before anything else. I am looking for someone who is emotionally healthy, literate, articulate, curious, kind, and fairly laid back. I am not clingy or jealous, and I value honesty and open communication in a friendship or a relationship. If you enjoy spending most of your nights in front of the t.v. or playing video games, I am not the person for you. I don't mind those things in small doses but talking, listening to music, going to a park, reading a book or taking a walk will win over television every time.
