Drawn to new, creative and sincere people. Like to slide down stairs in sleeping bags and teach kids to slide down stairs feet first on their tummies. Like to see kids see fireworks for the first time. I am a lover of lovers and wear my heart on my sleeve where it belongs. Call me honest but hopefully never rude. I feel nature and see passion. Know what it is like to ride a wave and be seen completely bare. No that does *not* mean I am a "naturalist" <grin>.

Really easy to get to know - but I value and guard my privacy. I answer mail and experience people. Music, poetry, and visual arts are a part of me. And I always play every day. Exercise is important to me - I will push limits - and question authority. Have been known to burn the candle at both ends and the middle.

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I’m a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald… striking. So, I’m on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga… gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he’s gonna stiff me. And I say, “Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.” And he says, “Oh, uh, there won’t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.” So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.

Aristotle identified three types of friendship.

1. Friendship for pleasure between those sharing a common interest or activity such as gym workouts. This friendship only lasts as long as the mutual interest is pursued.

2. Friendship for utility. A teacher is hired as a personal trainer. It is mutually beneficial. The student learns proper exercise and the teacher gets the opportunity to have a student and receives a salary. It only lasts as long as it is mutually useful.

3. Friendship for goodness. In such a friendship, the friends engage in shared activities because each person has an interest in developing the goodness and wellbeing of the other. They work out together because they know that it improves the health of the other. Since goodness is never fully achieved, this friendship is perpetual.
