I'm 34 and a recovering work-a-holic (small business owner) who now just likes to live a laid-back (yet responsible) low stress lifestyle. I am young at heart but definitely old enough to know I have no time for people who like to play games, are not honest (I have enough grey hairs already), or not ideally looking for a serious committed relationship should they be fortunate enough to meet the 'right' person. I would consider myself the hopeless/hopeful romantic type. I am quite chivalrous (why should that ever be dead?) and almost always the consummate gentleman, but with a modern 'twist' every now and then. I am honest to a fault, frquently to my own detriment. I enjoy being able to be silly and carefree which I consider essential (when appropriate) but I also don't mind being a grown-up most of the time. I love theatre (especially musicals), dogs-especially my dog traveling-love day or long weekend road trips to?? Cooking, dining out, children (only nieces and nephews for now) and doing almost anything with family. Hold your ears if you hear me singing in the car or anywhere else as I have a paucity of genuine talent but ~I~ think I sing very well. Coffee coffee coffee!!! Sometimes I enjoy playing poker and cerebral board games such as scrabble, trivial pursuit, etc. But mostly I can enjoy my time doing just about anything IF it is with the right person. Whether it's a quiet movie at home, mini-golf, video games or pool at Dave & Buster's, short walks in the rain, singing a duet, whatever.....I sometimes (not very often) enjoy going out to a small bar/pub with friends or someone special but I realize I will probably never meet the woman I am looking for there so I'll take a shot here. Ocassionally I can be moody or stubborn but I have some good attributes too. Trying not to sound egotistical (which seems like a challenge when writing about one's self) or too long winded I will just list some adjectives I objectively feel apply to me (though I may be slightly biased?). These are also traits I seek in a woman.
Honesty, intelligence, witty (sarcasm counts just fine), youthful, nurturing, thoughtful, sensitive, and grounded yet ambitious. I am seeking a woman with a lot of the same qualities as myself but hopefully someone stronger at my weaknesses and/or weaker at my strengths as I think sometimes the differences are what can really make a couple strong and able to conquer all obstacles thrown in their way.
I should add that I find intelligence to be the single most attractive and appealing trait in a woman, though obviously there are a few close seconds

I really enjoy movies and quote them probably a bit too often. I will usually take a silly/funny comedy over a heavy drama, unless it really makes me think. I also sometimes enjoy a good 'chick-flick' but you'll have to forgive me if I cry.

Some of my faborite movies/actors are: #1 Life Is Beautiful, Steve Martin, Adam Sandler, Bill Murray, anything Monty Python, Pay It Forward, Clerks, Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, The Jerk, The Wedding Singer, Something About Mary, The 40 Year Old Virgin, etc.


I also have a profound interest in horology, look it up and get your mind out of the gutter

So now that I've given you a little glimpse into what makes me tick, if you don't think I'm nuts, and you think you 'get' me at all come say HI; and hopefully you'll have more than a one sentence profile <wink>

Lastly be sure to note that I have a strange affinity for the english language which might help explain the plethora of verbiage in my 'brief' biography as I simply love writing and don't know how or when to quit.
