Hi Ya'all,
I am a transplanted southernor who came to California for a visit with family, fell in love with the climate, and decided to retire..
A one time military gypsie I am a bloom where I am planted person. Usually doesn't take long for me to set up my new household , garden, find the best of whatever is local and enjoy the "native" mascots (GO Monarch's and RiverCat's ). When I get out and go favorites spots are of course Home Depot, Capital Nurshery, King's Mum Farm, Old Town Sacramento, Vinnie's or Hadley's in Folsom, Sacramento Zoo, Apple Hill, Tahoe, and the eatery's and crafts or book stores on Laguna Blvd or Country Club Plaza. A homeowner I love my well maintained garden setting, affordable amenities, and friendly and affordable neighborhood.

My personality is social and helpful . Routinely I hook up with a variety of groups who help people with a hand up not a hand out. A creative person and a good cook I frequently contribute with catering efforts, yard clean ups, and minor repairs for seniors. I feel like I get much more than I give volunteering createing freindships, learning and refineing skills, and having a natural fun form of exercise.

I like music and even though not a great dancer I can smile and wiggle with the best of them. Slow danceing in your strong arms would make me think of romance. I have an active life in the Methodist community so I hope you would enjoy shareing your beliefs I get I am blessed to be retired. young. My career was predominently social work and furniture retail but I also owned several profitable small businesses. Financially consevative I don't mind saving for special treats and hunting for bargains I like almost all spectator athletics and couple of favorites are anything related with water and fishing. I could be easily persuaded to learn golf or or something playing in the snow occasionally. The roughing it days are waining but a car club or RVing sounds like a blast. Naturally lucky I like some board and card games but gambeling doesn't make sense to me.

My center has always been family so the empty nest was soon reoccupied with my Dad and an elderly but childless neighbor lady who recently went to a 24/7 level nurseing center. Dad still is a housemate but his mellow personality adapts well to my sometime extended excursions. Because I have lived as if being a mate was a privilege I have had some happy years as wife and mother. Being widowed while my kids were teens was a challenge but I think it gave me even more pespective about how precious time shared is. Our relationship does not have to displace any one in your life but I do expect to be your equal. and I am looking forward to that last great love of our lives where people who will know us want to be us. My plan is to travel leisurely when budgets allow, enjoy great writing, maybe some new dabbleing in photography, and jewelry making, maybe retrace some historical interests . A life long do-it-yourself'er my home is a canvas where I frequently do my own projects.

I tend to believe we live, move forward, and nobody get to start over but you can learn from most of your experiences; even the exceedoingly painful ones. I like courtesy and a home that has and oasis environment. I have a peaceful happy life and while I would like to add a little romance, even a significant other that could lead to changes I think will feel like a return to normalcy rather than a disruptive trransition. if I am fortuneate enough to meet the "right one." I have common sense, street sense , and usually pretty good instincts to avoid trouble and being a renamed mistress under the guise of friendship. . Generally I have a tough "Judge Judy" attitude with a touch of Grace,   Send me a message!
