Hi, I'm an aspiring filmmaker. My main hobby is watching and discussing movies. My all-time favorites include All the Real Girls, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Lord of the Rings, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Princess and the Warrior, Punch-Drunk Love, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Royal Tenenbams, Say Anything..., and Scenes From a Marriage.

Music's a big part of my life as well. I don't create it but I consume it quite avidly. I like most anything, but a few of my favorites are Ryan Adams, Belle and Sebastian, Johnny Cash, Death Cab For Cutie, Drive-By Truckers, Kathleen Edwards, The Hold Steady, Jay-Z, Ted Leo + the Pharmacists, Magnolia Electric Co., Tift Merritt, The Mountain Goats, Pedro the Lion, Radiohead, The Replacements, Sigur Rós, the Smiths, Songs: Ohia, Bruce Springsteen, the Streets, Sufjan Stevens, Thursday, Whiskeytown, The White Stripes, Wilco, Lucinda Williams, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

I also enjoy sports, mostly watching, but I've been known to get out there and shoot hoops, etc. The only sport I'm any good at is skiing, which I love doing but don't get to do often enough. I'm a big football fan; the Carolina Panthers are my team.

I'm generally sarcastic but also a pretty nice guy once you get to know me. I feel like I want to get out and see this country and world of ours. I've done some traveling but not recently and not nearly enough.   Send me a message!
