Ever since I could remember I always wanted to be a musician. I wanted to be a rock star, but I soon discovered I can't sing, so I knew I would not be the front man of a rock band. I love the drums but lack sufficient coordination to pull it off with any success, and guitar...my fingers would not obey my commands and as a result, well, I was terrible at it. So, I thought, how would I ever achieve my dream? The rave scene exploded in Los Angeles in the early 90's and I was swept up in it, fell in love with the music. Met some friends who were dj's and knew from that point on what I was going to do musically. I was going to become a dj. So I got a hold of a pair of cheap turntables, a mixer, borrowed a stack of records from my friends and locked myself in my bedroom, happily learning the basics. It took me quite a long time to master it, still learn new things everyday but can hold my own. I was happy dj'ing for a long time but wanted to play my music instead of strictly other peoples music so in 2000 a friend showed me how to use a program on my pc to make the kind of music I loved and that was the beginning of a new phase in my life. After a long learning period I achieved something I had wanted ever since I was a child, I released a split single 12" record. My side was a dark techstep tune, the flip a ragga jungle tune. It came out in 2004 on L.A Abstract Records. You've no doubt never heard it, and probably don't even know either genre exists, but it is my passion. It doesn't pay the bills, I work for a mortgage company to handle that, I do it for the love of creating music. DNB/Jungle isn't the only type of music I listen to, or make. I love rock, metal, classic rock, alternative, swing, reggae, breakbeats, techno, standards, funk, hip hop, old school punk, hardcore and dubstep.
Aside from music I enjoy reading, currently reading several books on varying subjects, cooking, relaxing with family and friends, going out, whether it be to a bar, a club, the movies or anywhere fun really. I go to the gym at least 2 times a week to improve my physical health and try to eat healthy now.
I have my fair share of quirks, as does everyone, but the worst someone could say about me is that i am too nice sometimes.
