I am Matt, an outgoing young man who likes to have a fun time. I dislike the bar scene, partly because I'm a little bit awkward when it comes to initiating a conversation with a complete stranger. However, once you get to know me, it's hard to get me to stop talking. I prefer getting to know my date one-on-one when we first go out. On a date, I prefer a reasonably quiet scene (but it doesn't have to be TOO quiet; I like music) so that I can have a conversation with my date without having to yell in her ear whilst standing right next to her. I've had several relationships, and put all of my effort into all of them, and learned how to not overdo it and be reasonable. I prefer movies as a first date, partly because it's a good icebreaker (movies can make for good conversation), but mostly because I'm a huge movie buff. I'm looking for someone in my area, for the most part, although I can be reasonable, if someone looks interesting enough. I am also big on music, and enjoy listening to hard rock and metal, such as the bands Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Seether, Godsmack, Evanescence and Three Days Grace. A slight warning: I am currently enlisted in the National Guard, and go to Basic Training and AIT in April of 2008, and return from it the following November, so if you can't handle me being away for that amount of time (or me being away for drills), then I'm not the guy for you.
