Just moved to the area and looking to meet interesting, funny, smart people. My job is my first priority, but also I enjoy all sorts of music, except maybe country and hip-hop, however my mind remains open. I play guitar and piano, and if I'm alone in a soundproof room I might sing. In fact - you can hear my old band's music at www.sickasi.com... I'm nuts for girls with musical talent.I've also been trying to run more frequently - I find it quite enjoyable, although I'm no superstar. A good 5k here or there is about right for me (so far).
Yeah, I know - I look like a complete dork in the photo - and in many ways I am, I'll admit it. However, I'm a lovable dork, not one of those weird creepy ones. And I'm not a jerk to women - I'm always respectful of the ladies. I'm the kind of guy who will hold doors open and put the toilet seat down when I'm done (unless I'm in MY apartment!). If these aren't things you're looking for, don't bother with me.
My ideal new friend would be smart, confident, and have a good sense of humor. She would be interested in seeing new sights and would be somewhat experimental in her tastes, always trying new things. She wouldn't have to know whether or not there is a god, but her beliefs would be respected either way. She would enjoy going to movies, but not too often, and she would be able to appreciate a good beer. Wine's okay too. She would enjoy going to concerts and she would sometimes let me bore her to death with my own music, and she wouldn't necessarily have to like it. She would be cute, but not completely into herself, and she would know that smalltalk is not always necessary. She would be a good friend, and not jump into a relationship too fast, but not too slow either. She might like sushi, but that's up to her, really. Most importantly, though, she would like me, and we would smile and laugh together.
I'm not sure this exact person exists, but who knows. Feel free to surprise me.
My ideal relationship has yet to be defined. I think I'll know it when it happens. I don't know if I believe in love at first sight - I believe in friendships, which can grow into more. So, I guess you could say I believe in 'potential' love at first sight. I prefer a casual sort of relationship, but I reserve the right to suddenly and without notice change my position on that. :)
I've learned that things hurt sometimes. That's life. I've also learned that I can get somewhat jealous sometimes, but I've improved a great deal on that front. I've come to take a more relaxed attitude toward relationships and that has helped me a great deal. I've learned I sometimes put up with stuff that I shouldn't have to deal with, and in the future I'll stand up for how I feel. And you should too. Send me a message!
