My name is Thomas, I’m originally from Mississippi and moved to Tennessee in Feb. of 2007. Work initially brought me to TN and after being here for almost a year, I’ve grown to like it. While in the Navy and stationed in Central CA near Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Forests, I often dreamed of backpacking and camping in the mountains. Although time and constant demand of my obligation to the Service didn’t permit me to fulfill my dreams at the present, I still held on to them. After settling down in TN, I bought some gear and hit the trail the first chance I got. I try to spend as much time as I can backpacking and hiking the surrounding area.
I also enjoy all types of fishing, but fly fishing is among one of my favorite things to do. I like to read, but don’t have a favorite type of book or author. Most of the books I read are books that catch my eye as I’m browsing through the book store. Although I don’t consider myself to be a couch potato, I do enjoy sitting down for a good movie every once and a while.
I am mainly looking for a partner to share some of my adventures with. Someone that enjoys the outdoors and doesn’t mind spending a night or two under the stars. I don’t drink or smoke, but would never require that of anyone else. I only ask that you respect my decision not to. I’m open minded and always open to new adventures.
