I am looking for someone who has the same belief system that I have in the LORD ALMIGHTY. My belief is very important to me and the essence of who I am. I go to Church services weekly, enjoy fellowship, and I am quite busy with Church activities. I am a devoted Christian who study God's word everyday. So the woman that I meet or find must have a belief in the higher power.

Hi There my name is John Burnett and I am from the state of IL I guess that is better than being from the state of confusion. I live in the heart of the city of Peoria and love the country scenery also. I am close to my family, friends and love ones. I am looking for a friend first then maybe it will go in to something long term possibly. So let me tell you a little more about me…..

I am a teddy-bear type; I have brown hair with moustache and beard, plus a little graying. (LOL) My eyes are blue and I wear glasses. I am about 5’5” tall about I weigh about 230 but I am losing. Since last February I have lost almost 50 pounds. I do not smoke and do not want to be around smokers due to my allergies. I do not do drugs and I am disease free. I do drink on special occasions and on holidays. But nothing to heavy or serious to worry about, as far as drinking goes in life.


You know what I am looking for in a woman? You know how you will hear a song that will touch your heart and soul. Well I am looking for a woman who will touch me heart and soul. I have a great sense of humor and I am a blast to hang out in public or at home. I have a great deal of interests and hobbies. Too many to list, but I will try anything once as long as it is not immoral, illegal, or just plain stupid. When I say stupid; I mean doing things like bungee jumping or jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. There are some things that I would love to try and learn, like scuba diving and learning how to play golf. Some of the things that I enjoy are reading, staying quite active with outside activities; such as biking, walking, and going shopping at different places such as: Auctions, Flea Markets, Garage Sales and whatever I can find in my area. I like playing card and board games, collecting DVD and VHS movies, and writing poetry and some stories. So I use my computer quite a great deal of the time. My computer is my baby in life. So that leads me into more info which is: I have never been married or fathered any children. I wanted to wait until I got married to have children. I have not married yet because I have not felt that certain spark or any woman yet. So as for me, I am old fashion guy who is believes in romance and being very romantic with the one and only woman in my life. I believe in being respectful to the woman. I like surprising my wife or love one with flowers and cards. I think being in love is like the old song says,” Always and Forever”. I also do not play games of the heart and/or head. I have found that if people do that they are not doing anyone good. They are hurting themselves as much as the other person. Also I find a person who does that is immature and very childish.
