I would like to have a good friend in my life right now to discover and share new adventures together. I love doing fun and simple things in life; not a high maintenance woman.

My life has been on hold for the past 10 years because I have been a caregiver for my husband who has advanced Alzheimer's. I just recently had to place him in an Assisted Living facility, which has been very hard on me dealing with the uncertainties and being alone. When he was first diagnosed with prostate cancer and then Alzheimer's ten years ago, he knew I would have a ruff road caring for him. So he made me promise that I would go on with life without him, when he could no longer be at home. So this is why I am here to find new friends.......

I am a professional business woman in Property Management (LCAM),some college and trade schools but well educated from The School Of Hard Knocks. I want my grandchildren to learn that education is a continual process in order to achieve the things you want out of life, at any age. Even if you have disabilities like dyslexic and not a very good speller. I am currently not working, I took time off to care for my husband but plan to go back to work soon, so that I can continue to pay for his care.

I enjoy listening to jazz, 40s and the big bands, 50s & 60s and yes good old opera, classical and bagpipe music, some CW. Someday I would love to travel and see places I only read about in books. I miss sharing discussions on current events and expressing viewpoints on books, politics and yes even about any religion but, I do not need or like to argue on issues, whats the point you are just as right as me. I am working at who I am everyday and I am sure you have worked at it too. I am not one to make a person change, change comes from the heart and that's up to the individual. The only change I want is to change the channel on the TV remote, hehehehe.... (a little sense of humor).

I love the arts, music, theater and reading books by Sylvia Browne and there is so much more I love to do that I have not done in a long time. Just ask me....... There is nothing I like better then being out on a boat in the open water. If you love riding a motorcycle or flying... you will know what I mean to be into something you love.......

I have been known to write poetry and I miss playing chess, I so do love a challenging game.......Go Dallas Cowboys, yes that's my team. I also love to cook and grow my own garden to have fresh veggie for a healthy salad.

My friends all tell me "Life Must Go On". I am trying, but with my situation it is hard. Although my husband is no longer at home and doesn't know who I am any longer, he is in my heart; I am a one man women, till death do us part............. Although I am in between married life and the single life, I am taking baby steps back into the single life. Much has changed in 25 years, bed hopping and sexual transmitted diseases, just to mention a few, that are scary to think about. I do not live in the fast lane. I am not looking for an intimate encounter nor am I looking to be shagged; in other words, I am looking for a true friend that shares the same interests as me, spending time sharing them together and getting to know one another. Who knows what the future holds. Live for today you never know what the future will be, you might find your best friend at your side.... I would like to find a friend who can make me laugh again. Life is to short to do things alone.

(Labor of love)>> If your a honey-do man with handyman skills wouldn't it be fun working together getting my 34 foot houseboat (The Lady Dy)ready to put her back into the water again and enjoy cruising the ST John River together, and maybe catch dinner. If we are not lucky enough to catch fish for dinner, we can pull the boat up to a restaurant along the river and get a bit to eat there.
