One of the great prevasive myths in American culture today is that we are entitled to a great life ---- that somehow, somewhere, someone (certainly not us) is responsible for filling our lives with continual happiness, exciting career options, nurturing family time and blissful personal relationships simply because we exist.

But the real truth is that there is only ONE person responsible for the quality of the life you live. That person is YOU.

I am single mom, not looking to "personally" have more children. I am a self-employed business owner. I love my life! I select my acquaintances respectfully, fully acknowledging those I am around is where my life will lead. I am looking to fullfill every aspect of my life. Negativity, gossip, ect... is a huge turnoff! Everyone is who they are and I respect all differences in what makes each of us who we are individually.

I just do not hang around anybody that I don't want to be with. Period. For me, that's been a blessing, and I can stay positive. I hang around people who are happy, who are growing, who want to learn, who don't mind saying sorry or thank-you.....and are having a fun time.
