Everybody always says it with these things, but I don't know what to write. So here goes...

I'm a pretty easy going laid back guy. I'm usually joking around and trying to have a good time.

I'm finishing up my first semester of a PhD program in cancer pathology, and I'm doing research in leukemia now.

I love going to the book store and buying new books that I have no time to read. I always end up buying something new and as a result I tend to be juggling 5 books at once and they range from science texts, nonfiction history and best selling fiction. As I'm writing this I'm reading Dr Drew's memoir, a recounting of several civil war naval battles, and a fiction novel called And the Ass Saw the Angel. Yeah, I'm all over the place... and that doesn't even count the science journals I have to go through too.

Music and movies play a major part in my life. I love tracking down new things that not many people have heard of, I haven't listened to terrestrial radio in years. Sirius satellite radio is the only way to go. My favorite musicians are The Flaming Lips, Wilco, Kings of Leon, Sparklehorse, Elliott Smith, Ryan Adams and Hayden. My favorite movies include Double Indemnity, the original Manchurian Candidate and Brazil. If you've heard of any of the above, chances are I'll like you.

I'm a pretty big Steelers and Sabres fan, but I know it isn't the end of the world if they don't win. I hate basketball, and I'll only watch baseball in the world series... but I still manage to hate the Yankees.

I try to travel as much as I can. In the past couple years I've been to Maine twice, Alaska, England and Scotland (and possibly the most impressive, a fourteen hour lay over in the Seatle airport). And I'd go back to any of those any chance I get... well... maybe not the SeaTac Airport. I have every intention of disappearing into Scotland for a month or two as soon as I graduate. I'm not really into whole backpacking across Europe to find myself; I just want to see as much of the world as I can. I’d love to show London to somebody who has never been there before.

I don't really drink. I'll usually have one or two beers if I'm out somewhere but not more than that. I don't like the whole club scene but I do enjoy going to a quiet neighborhood bar every once in a while with a few friends, and I’ve never been a fan big parties. Since I don’t really drink, I tend to stay away from them. I try to have some fun on Hertel or down on Allen when ever possible to enjoy all the great restaurants Buffalo has to offer.

As for my match, I'm looking for a more long term relationship. The woman would also be somebody who doesn't have to get drunk or high every weekend to have a good time. They would also have a college degree or would be completing it in the near future.
