I grew up in the school of exceptionally hard knocks, and figured going into the Marines for a while would be a great idea (let the knocks continue!). I grew up in Germany (Army brat) I speak read and write German fluently, speak parts of some other languages and have been to 15 different countries so far in my lifetime. This year will be number 16. I have studied at Columbia. So a lot of life experience, education, and some smarts- so everyone tells me.

Love to cook, and can cook a good number of really good dishes. I can also clean as I cook, clean in general, and still do handyman stuff and some basic car repairs. Love doing things outdoors, indoors, and like spontaneity. Being spontaneous is the coolest thing, getting caught up in the moment and seeing where life takes you can be a rewarding journey. It’s Friday evening, boredom kicks in. “Hey let’s go to Canada for the night.” OK- that’s me.

I am also kind of a reformed bad boy who after a brief ‘bad’ period spent way too long being way too nice, and is now ‘well-adjusted’. :D So I’ll hold the door open for my significant other, be a gentleman, but give a playful smack on the bottom at the right times. I am fair, considerate (everyone tells me I am very considerate) but have no problem standing up for myself, making some decisions, and generally seek a balance in all things. I am self-assured, and don’t have to be pushy to know I am a man, but I am not a doormat either.

I will not be manipulated, and if you have to control every aspect of the guy your with and think you have to compete with his pet cat- then I am not the guy for you. Nor can you change me, and I will not try to change you. Want to dye your hair a different color every month? Go for it. I’ll be all supportive, and heck we can go buy dye together.

I was married for 16 years, made my share of mistakes, have been good and alone for a while now, and the time to figure myself out was well worth it.

I am not looking to rush into anything. I have my own place, cars, job, etc. and enjoy my freedom and can be on my own. I don’t need- but I want someone special to share my time with. Something where we can connect on many levels, not just one or two. I am also not looking for flings, or casual friends with benefits, and I am not promising anything- LTR’s can’t be forced, they either happen or they don’t- but we can be honest about where we stand.   Send me a message!
