I’m a 47-year-old, active, fun loving, intelligent, white male with college degrees. I don’t smoke, drink, do drugs or gamble, I go to church almost every Sunday and try as I may, to live a life to be proud of. But, just like everybody else I know, I still make an occasional mistake.

I always try to be a gentleman, but I like to be a little wild and goofy at times - some would say more often than not. I have a caring, fun-loving personality, and I love people...well, most anyway. I love animals and have a great respect for nature, but I am not a tree hugger.

I’m active in the community. I have held offices of area organizations and committees. I’m also outgoing and love to smile, laugh and tell a good joke or story. I’m frugal and live within my means. I believe that delayed pleasure is a sign of maturity.

During the summer I try to get out kayaking, biking and hiking whenever possible, during the winter, my primary recreation is ballroom dance. I have had dance lessons off and on for about seven years and have even taught some.

I work in sales for a company that is ranked very high in the Fortune 500 and think that I have found a position that I can retire in. The income and benefits are good and I enjoy what I do.

I enjoy time with my friends and the little family that I have left, (Mother, Uncle, Brother and his family of four). I like mellow music, outdoors, hugging, fresh air, beautiful scenery, good jokes and stories that make me laugh, I like to watch football, (GO Pack GO!). I enjoy working with my hands to make things, and improve my home.

I dislike smoking and drunks, litter, lazy people, thieves, liars and cheats. Smokers, I am very sensitive to smoke so I don't want to date anyone who smokes please. As friends, we're OK, just don't do it around me. I don’t mind of somebody has a couple drinks, but if their personality changes or they drink and drive, I disapprove.

I have no problem making fun of myself, and certainly enjoy it when I can poke fun at others too - life is way too short to take everything too seriously. And, yes, at times I can be a little sensitive, but who isn't? I would like some stability in my life, but I also like variety. Not same old, same old. I enjoy trying new things: Different foods, places, experiences, etc.

I am looking to meet someone who has the same qualities as I do. Opposites attract, but I don't believe that they are meant to stay together. It's of the opinion that opposites can compliment one another, but there has to be enough in common to enjoy doing things as a couple. I believe that a family that plays together, stays together. I also believe that absence can make the heart grow fonder, but sometimes weary.


I would like someone who is open, honest, and open-minded. Caring, sensitive and has to be sincere. I also like a woman who is feminine, but not “dainty” I like them to be athletic and active . . . I am confident, and like to put my significant other on a pedestal treating her as a lady and making her feel special. I appreciate the same in return. I don't think it is wrong to want to be treated special and to treat someone special in return. I think that is important and, in a way, it shows respect and loyalty to that person. I want someone who I can laugh with (and at, when necessary). I'd like to start out as friends and take things from there.

I just realized that all of my pictures have beard or mustache. In July I decided to shave clean. It is the first time in over a decade. Just don't be surprised if I'm missing the facial hair.   Send me a message!
