I've seen you at Borders picking out books in the non-fiction section. I've caught a glimpse of you running through the park. Now that I've found you I’m just hoping you’ll give an average guy who isn’t arrogant care about you since that’s who I am.

My intuition tells me that you…

a. Are very intelligent, have a college degree and have a job that you enjoy.
b. Understand that I sometimes have to work long hours for my job, but that I will make the time up to you later if not before I’m busy.
c. Are not a vegetarian!!
d. Think that the night sky is beautiful and enjoy spending an evening beside a campfire roasting marshmallows and looking up at the stars.
e. Look hot just lounging around the house in your pajamas but that’s just because you look good in anything.
f. Understand that I really do think you look hot with your hair tied up.
g. Are not afraid to drink beer with me but not give me an excuse to drink more than I should.
h. Don’t think it’s crazy to run around or stand out in the rain on a warm rainy summer day.
i. Are between 25 and 35.
j. Are physically fit but not perfect and accept that I am the same.
k. Understand that I’m not a runner, biker or walker but prefer to exercise by competing in some type of sport that gets my adrenaline pumping or by working. (I don’t have chiseled abs. but I am muscular and have a reasonable amount of stamina, not that I couldn’t use to work out a little more)
l. Have a cute smile!!
m. Are able to make me feel like Superman when I’m wearing a shirt that may not be a very masculine color.
n. Know that I clean house like a guy and could use a woman’s help with my household chores.
o. You’re not too crazy! (A little bit crazy is OK.)
p. Accept me for who I am and don’t try to change me too much. (I’ll do the same.)
q. Don’t get upset if I seem indecisive about making plans. (I really don’t care what we do together. My goal is to spend time with you and learn everything that I can about you while having as much fun as possible.)
r. Know that you don’t have to bring up the M-word or the K-word anytime in the first couple of months of dating. You know that I need to fall for you a little bit first and then all it will take is a wink and a smile from you to talk me into whatever just about anything.
s. Know that I don’t mind getting a little culture in my life. (I’ll have to think about musicals or opera, but I’m willing to go and pretend to be happy just don’t ask me too many questions about what happened because I will probably be people watching or planning my day for tomorrow.)

What I have to offer in return,

1. While I’m not a gourmet chef I can cook. Just don’t look for the fancy garnish on the plate or the fancy chocolate drizzle pattern around your dessert.
2. I have a dog that is looking for a play date also.
3. Between my parents, grandparents and finally the housemother for my fraternity, I have learned proper etiquette and table manners. (I’m not perfect but I try.)
4. As for looks I’m not Brad Pitt or George Clooney but I am on track to look like 60 year old Sean Connery in another 28 years.
5. I have traveled a considerable amount in the states and I am willing to travel wherever I have someone to enjoy the journey with.
6. I don’t spend very many nights out with the guys and most of my friends are married now anyhow.
7. I don’t mind shopping when I’m not busy.
8. I have a college degree and have met half of the requirements for an MBA. (I am planning to finish sometime soon.)
9. I enjoy what I do for a living.
10. I clean up extremely well and can talk intelligently about stocks, commodities, investing and politics at dinner parties.
11. I don’t mind dancing at weddings if I’ve had a couple of drinks and they play a romantic song. (Please don’t let me drink enough to go out for the chicken dance.)
12. I am thoughtful and considerate.
13. I value honesty and integrity.
14. I am a gentleman and don’t believe that chivalry is dead.
15. When it comes to remodeling and power tools I’m not quite Bob Villa but I’m close. I’ve put bathrooms in our rental houses, helped my brother finish his basement and remodeled a couple of bedrooms for my sister.
16. I can also fix your car.
17. I also get 2 Ohio State Football tickets a year!!
