Well, I'm a nice guy. I'm a professor in a small town and often joke that all the women here are either 19 or married to attorneys, neither of which is for me. I'm not particularly shy, and have several female friends, but since relocating I've had difficulty finding someone that I would feel comfortable with beyond friendship.

I'm creative and enjoy art, design, music, and making things. I have an eye for detail and can be a bit of a perfectionist. On the other hand, I've learned that sometimes there are things you can't change, so no sense agonizing over such situations.

I have a good sense of humor and enjoy making my friends laugh. I adore a quick, dry sense of humor and love to play along.

A few details. I'm not a big smoker, but I do enjoy a good cigar a few times a year. I'm a terrible dancer - probably because I never dance. I've thought about taking lessons one of these days. I play guitar pretty well. I enjoy techie stuff and try to stay current in regard to technology and current events. I can go to a restaurant by myself without discomfort. I'm a good problem solver.

It would be great to find someone intelligent, witty, familiar with current events, that enjoys the simple things in life, doesn't need constant entertainment, likes seeing new places and is not afraid to venture off the beaten path, enjoys what's special about the old and what's exciting and possible about the new.

I think getting to know your partner, their likes and dislikes, what makes them happy, what calms them, what comforts them, what excites them — these things are important to me — pretty much near the top. I'm really referring to the small things. A favorite coffee cup, a special touch. I would love to find someone and meet for coffee or a beer, engage in a bit of conversation and not immediately worry whether or not we're a perfect match.   Send me a message!
