That's not exactly how I got here, but you get the idea. If you've made it this far, then I suppose I should tell you a little bit about myself. I am a writer specializing in horror fiction and dark fantasy. For the last year I finally took the plunge and seriously devoted myself to making a living through my writing and film projects, and it appears the hard work is finally starting to pay off. I'm not what most would consider a "typical guy". My interests and personality tend toward the creative and intellectual, and it's much more likely you would find me on a Sunday afternoon reading a book than sprawled on the couch watching football.

I'm a voracious reader and film buff with a keen interest in history, the paranormal and the occult. For hobbies, I enjoy photography and daily exercise. I listen to punk, darkwave, metal and classical. I enjoy theme parks (Universal beats Disney every time), SF and horror conventions, and walking in the woods. Most people I know consider me to be quite witty with a sharp, but sometimes quite dark, sense of humor. I live alone with three lovable but occasionally obstinate and willful ferrets.

Although my work keeps me busy, I sometimes feel quite lonely beacuse where I live it's difficult to find people who share my passions and interests. So I thought I'd give this a shot, because I'm sure they have to be out there. Maybe it's you?

As for my match, it would be nice to find someone whose world doesn't revolve around fishing boats, pickup trucks and NASCAR. Someone imaginative and open-minded who loves to create and explore. Someone who can appreciate thier darker nature but also maintain a light worldview. Someone who is equally comfortable discussing their latest favorite book, dancing at a sunset drum circle, riding rollercoasters until thy're dizzy, or curling up on the couch to watch an old Vincent Price movie. Someone who knows the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.

And if you can answer that last one, then you should definitely introduce yourself. 8-) But please, if you want to contact me, send me a real email. The winks are nice, but they really aren't very good for introductions and if you are really interested in getting to know me it would help if you tell me a bit about yourself.

Also, if you are one of those unfortunate women who are in some God-forsaken Third World country and need money to get back to the States, please move along and tell your tale of woe to someone else. It amazes me that there are so many American women on this site stuck in Ghana or Nigeria or wherever with passport problems.   Send me a message!
