Sooooooo… have you ever heard the one about the rabbit and the monkey? Me neither, but it does sound like the beginning of a joke doesn’t it. Actually, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if there was a joke that started that way. Regardless what follows is not. Great start right? I open by telling you that I am not a joke. Well, I better begin before I dig this hole any deeper…
For starters I should say that there is a lot more to me than what you will find in this blurb, just like there is more to you than what is in yours, so I'll keep an open mind if you will. Anyway, it's the little things that can sometimes make all the difference, just consider this a quirky smile in your direction. Perhaps it will be enough to get a conversation going. My interests are quite broad, I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little, but life has a way of teaching you more about everything so I guess that means I'll be okay. I would describe myself as an open person, open to new ideas, and experiences, but I am not one who abandons core beliefs for social expediency, monetary gain, or momentary infatuation.
Another thing, it doesn’t take much to keep me entertained. I can have a good time whether it’s watching the latest DVD release, losing myself at the bookstore, or visiting with friends at a bar… it’s the company that is important, not the location, or the activity.
Here’s a quick list of some of my favorite things:
My kids… obviously.
Laughter, what’s not to laugh about?
Libraries, I often loose complete track of time in them.
Watching a good documentary.
Mythbusters… Adam Savage is a geek God.
Reading anything by Phillip K. D***. Can't believe you can't write D**K. LOL
Long walks… doesn’t really matter where.
Love sushi and almost anything else Japanese.
Music... I often can't hear my cell ringing in the car.
Yoga, few things are quite so good at clearing my mind as it is.
Well, all that ought to give you a little insight into my personality, and if any of it sparked your curiosity that’s great, maybe between the two of us we can finish the rabbit and the monkey joke. Send me a message!
