I'm an intelligent, reasonably affable dude. I often describe myself as "broodingly handsome", partially because it sounds cool. Hopefully someone else agrees. I have an extremely complex personality and I'm blessed with a gift for gab.

So why am I on this site? It's so difficult to meet people in this part of the country. We're all so bunched together 'round these parts and our natural tendency to create space for ourselves seems to alienate us all from one another. That might be some BS social philosophy right there or an extremely profound statement.

I enjoy reading and listening to music on my iPod, especially on the bus to work, or in between naps on the train. I used to go to concerts and shows often, but lately, I haven't been inspired with what's out there. I find myself reaching into the past to discover musical jewels for the first time. I'm hopelessly devoted to sports (Mets, Giants, Knicks and Rangers), but not in that pathetic Fever Pitch sort of way. It's just that my brain can reel off memorable moments by rote and access an embarrassingly vast wealth of useless trivia and anecdotes.

Internet society has always been of major interest to me. I have my list of dorky message boards, blogs (nuts to mass media for ruining this word with it's permanent taint) and sites that I visit daily. It's my way of keeping my ear to the ground.

I drink beer because you can take the time to enjoy it. Taking shots means I'm being deferential to my peers.   Send me a message!
