Everywhere you look, people are “in love” or “falling in love”. Recently I went to see Camelot. I’m very much a people watcher, so I couldn’t help but to see all of the couples around me. In front of me was a couple I would say was in there 70’s and she still looked at him with that “I’m truly in love” look. To the right of them was a gay couple who looked like they were having so much fun and were truly enjoying each others company at the show. Just beside me sat a married couple that couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. Not in a perverted way! But they caressed each others hands and legs for the entire show.

And there I sat with a friend of mine in the midst of all these couples. It really made me start to think a lot. I miss that connection with someone. I want what those other couples there seemed to have. But the question is, where do you find someone who’s looking for the same thing? I’m not into the bar scene and most of the people who live around me are much older than me. So…that’s what brings me here.

I’m 31, divorced, and have no kids. I don’t smoke and only drink occasionally. I do have a good job and a new truck (imagine that!) and can support myself. I like traveling, hiking, cooking, bowling, the theater, and the movies just to name a few. I’ll try most anything once (within reason).

I’d like to meet someone who doesn’t smoke and isn’t into hanging out at the bars/clubs all of the time. I’m not Barbie by any means, so you don’t have to be Ken! But I do ask that you take care of yourself. I’ve been working out and losing a bit of weight over the past few months. Being healthy is a huge priority in my life right now and I would hope to share that with someone I meet.

So, my question now is: If it’s happening everywhere – Is it happening here too?
