I'm a full-time student at NCSU prepping for med school. I'm pretty laid-back and am searching for someone who's the same way. I'm brand-new to this whole internet dating thing, so keep that in mind. Also, I'm probably the least photogenic person on the planet, so any picture I put up are almost certainly going to be terrible. I'm pretty shy and awkward when I am getting to know new people, but once I establish a friendship, I'm pretty entertaining.
I have found that I don't need to drink or do anything like that to have fun, but that doesn't mean I don't drink. I am a big fan of making top five lists of everything; I have found that it keeps me organized. Also I am a giant nerd (music, pop culture, and Office trivia, mainly). I try to downplay those tendencies, but that hardly ever works. I listen to what most people would consider "indie" music (like of Montreal, the Decemberists, My Brightest Diamond, Tim Fite, Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley, Girl Talk, etc.), but it's hard to find a genre that I don't like. Stand-up comedy is also another one of my favorite things; I could spend the rest of my life listening to Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Demetri Martin, and others like them and be extremely happy. I also try to read in my free time as much as possible. Some of my favorite authors are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Klosterman, Nick Hornby, Jane Green, and Helen Fielding. I am also looking to expand my "To Read" list, so if you have a good suggestion, please pass it along.
I also have my fair share of guilty pleasures. Awful pop music. Tucker Max stories. Gossip Girl. The list rolls on. And even though it's terribly lame, I'm hate-reading the Twilight series. Because no one likes to be out of the loop.
I don't really know exactly what I'm trying to accomplish with this venture, but I'm hoping to meet some interesting, worthwhile people through this thing. Grammar and proper sentence structure are attractive beyond belief.
Basically, I'm just looking for someone to share snarky comments with and maybe a laugh. Looks aren't important; it's the personality that matters. Send me a message!
