I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, spending time with good friends, listening to live music, spoiling my puppy, writing and reading. I would consider myself to be an intelligent and fun loving person with an open mind. Definitely I'm not much of the Barbie type and I guess I'm what some people would describe as curvy or thick.

I am not a Christian or religious person, although I do believe in practicing kindness and toleration and volunteering is a big part of my life. Currently I'm a graduate student and work teaching freshman courses at a local university. Education, volunteer work, social justice, and environmental conservation are my biggest passions in life. While I had recently become jaded about politics, Barack Obama's speech "A More Perfect Union", as well as his campaign in general, have restored my faith in humanity.

I am looking to date a guy that is fun, kind, and ambitious with a spontaneous nature. I don't really bother replying to emails that are written in chat ebonics, because I want a man that can stimulate me intellectually as well as physically. At the moment, despite the poverty that comes with grad school, I am pretty content with my life. I am not looking for anyone that comes with a lot of baggage (3 ex wives, 8 children, psychotic stalkerish tendencies etc.)
