Lately my life consists of working at an elementary school, staying fairly late doing the endless things teachers do, working on my house, and trying to balance a social life up here in Snohomish. This usually means I have to drive to Seattle a fair amount to hang out with my friends, but not so much that I get nothing done around here. I would classify myself as ambitious with a fair amount of ingenuity. I work out regularly, and eat really well. I kind of have to because I've got a bunch of food in-tolerances to processed foods. I'm always up for an adventure, and I'll pretty much try anything that seems worthwhile. In the past I've lived all over, Alaska, Arizona, Holland, Montana, New York. I've worked all kinds of jobs from a bicycle taxi driver in Alaska, to working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Ultimately my calling is teaching even though I took quite a steep cut in pay from my New York salary. I write children's books and just published one recently.
