I'm a pretty big geek, and I love talking to other geeks. Books, movies, video games...Star Wars quotes...anything will do. That's not to say I'm a socially awkward person or anything; I can usually fit in anywhere among any group of people. I'm a chameleon, except, you know, without the color-changing skin. I'm just generally happier re-killing zombies on my Wii than I am at a dance club.

I don't have a huge array of 'passing interests.' I prefer to have passions. If I like something, I'm usually addicted to it. I'm a huge hockey fan and spend my time playing, watching, and discussing it. I'm a huge video game fan who would rather play Super Mario Bros. 3 or The Legend of Zelda than whatever new X-Box game is getting advertised every 5 seconds. I'm the same way with people. I don't keep very many friends on the fringe. Most are either very close to me or not much more than acquaintances.

I'm also a part of a dying breed of people known as 'gentlemen.' That's not to say that I'm not a spontaneous and fun person; I just happen to understand propriety in whatever social situation I may be in. I'm really empathic (I can read your feelings), so I think that's how I developed my sense of propriety. I can see what people expect of me and simply give that to them. To finish up, I consider myself to be well versed in sarcasm and wit, the best sorts of humor.

If you get to know me, you'll realize that hockey is one of the most important things in my life. I think it's a beautiful microcosm of all things human and pretty damn fun to watch. I'm a Pittsburgh Penguins fan from well before the Crosby bandwagon (RIP Student Rush), but I'm also just a fan of hockey in general. I will watch two teams I hate go at it with one another.
