Let me start off by introducing myself....

Hi! My name is Lauren, I'm 19 years old (turning 20 in August) and I'm training to be a professinal ballet dancer in New York City.

I've been a ballet dancer since I was 4 years old and saw my very first performance of the Nutcracker. It's been my life ever since, and I truely wouldn't have it any other way!

I've been going to professional boarding dance schools since I was sixteen. Which currently only allows me to see my family a total of about 16 or 17 days in the year. I train seven days a week about six hours a day. I've had my fair share of broken bones, sore muscles and blistered toes. It's a very tough life but I'm so fortunate to have a family that supports me so much!

Speaking of my family:

I have a mom and dad who have been happily married for 24 years. I also have an older brother who married his childhood sweetheart - they have a beautiful little girl who is also my god-daughter, and we also have a very playful puppy named Riley!

I feel like I have the ideal family. My mom and dad are both like my best friends - I know I can always talk to them when I have a problem or just need a shoulder to lean on!
