in my adventures?

I've walked across the Golden Gate Bridge and I've rode on the "ricearoni" cable cars in SF -- what a way to celebrate my 50th birthday! But I still want to take a ferry across the bay! I want to see Yosemite! I want to go whale watching! I want to see Mono Lake, Mt. Shasta, and Mt. Lassen! I want to look for beach glass at Glass Beach! And that's just the things I want to do in THIS state!

Some of the things I enjoy are the ocean/coast/beach, "country" antiques, playing in the snow, walking in rain showers, web design, selling on Etsy and eBay, talking, flannel sheets, geocaching, the mountains, traveling, and cuddling with you. :-)

Some random tidbits about me are that I'm not particularly into labels, but I lean ever so slightly towards the femme side. For the most part, I don't drink, however if you insist on buying me a drink, I'd like a "fuzzy navel," thank you! The strongest drug I use is for high blood pressure. I'm more of a morning person than a night owl, although in the last few years, I've become an occasional insomniac too. I've been told that I have nice eyes, a pleasant laugh, and a good, if quirky, sense of humour.

I spend much of my time sewing. I am a primitive folk artist and make cloth dolls that look very old ... like they've been around since the Gold Rush. I love old quilts and other vintage textiles and use bits of them in many of my creations. I market my work on Etsy, eBay, my web site, and at a few fairs. I'm developing an interest in "mixed media" collages, etc., though I haven't started creating these yet.

The woman I'm looking for will probably be soft butch or maybe androgynous (yeah, I know I said that I'm not particularly into labels, but I know what I like ... *grin*). She needs to know that she's a lesbian and be comfortable with that identity. She probably won't wear much make-up (mascara is ok, for example, as is lip balm), and she'll definitely NOT wear skirts or dresses. She won't smoke or use recreational drugs and, at most, she will be a light drinker. She should be reasonably close to height/weight proportionate. She MUST be a good communicator, and not shut down when the going gets tough. She needs to be comfortable with holding my hand and being affectionate in public, just about anywhere & anytime. It would be great if she has a compatible (though not necessarily identical) creative/artistic streak. And of course I hope that she will enjoy at least a few of the same things I do.

I am NOT looking for a quickie hook-up and I'm not interested in doing the "U-Haul thang" ... but if the timing is right, perhaps we'll hit it off and who knows where that will take us! Sooooo ... if this sounds like you, let's chat soon!
