About Me

I am completely amazed that years progress yet I do not grow older. :) This is something I must come to grips with. Will I always feel and act as I did in college, or will I wake up one day an old fart? :)

I majored in Molecular Biology but dropped out 3rd year undergrad, then obtained a degree in applied science, and now work as a security analyst. Sometimes I find that relating to machines is better than dealing with people who have no ability to think for themselves! Unfortunately, machines don't like to snuggle up for movies, they don't kayak, and they aren't a lot of fun to date.

I was into the punk scene years back, but now I find that paying my mortgage takes precedence over expressing myself this way. It was fun, and a lot of the mindset lives tucked away where the general public doesn't see it.

I enjoy brewing ale, but have not done so lately. I am a beer aficionado, preferring the rich dark Ales and Stouts to Pilsners and Lagers. I try to tell people about the 'proper' serving temperatures for beers, but of course, nobody listens! Some things will never change!

I am passionate about life and the things that I enjoy, and tend to express my passions verbally as well as physically.

I listen to many types of music; new(er) rock (Rage, Tool, Staind, Rob (and White) Zombie, Pantera, etc...), Fusion Jazz, Blues, Old Punk, Classical, and more, although Frank Zappa will remain forever a huge influence in my life - talk about the ultimate non-conformist and ultra-intelligent artist... !! I like to share music with my friends. Concerts can be fun when there's someone we both enjoy. I can't bear to be around people who have the intelligence and vocabulary of a "brick", and so I find myself alone frequently. :D

I can fix about anything one way or another. McGyver has nothin' on me! I like fast cars, fast bikes, and fast women, but I am also a gentleman. I like to show my date that she is important to me. I love to look into her eyes as we talk. I hope to meet with you, talk, and get to know you. I would enjoy finding someone with similar interests that would like my company as much as I would like yours.

I'm looking for someone I can see, be friends with, and date. I do not want there to be any false representations or expectations, If you are looking for a husband, I am not your guy. I also do not want to date any smokers. I have had enough of smokers in my life; it's your right to do so, but I don't want to be around it. Sorry, but smoking disgusts me! Lastly, if you live an hour or more away, don't bother. I have learned, through experience, that this does not work. It sucks getting attached to someone only to find the logistics make it futile.

I'm good at "thinking outside the box." - I'm good at acting foolishly at inappropriate times. (j/k) :D - I'm REALLY good at fixing things that are broken. I can be quite good at cooking, if and when I am motivated to cook. That's not very often when I am cooking for one. There are many more things that I'm good at, which I either don't want to post, or just don't come to mind at the moment.

I love spicy food, and enjoy trying new foods whenever I get the opportunity. I love FRESH seafood, but that's not available in PA. (I have to wait 'til I go to Cape Cod.) Musical tastes are eclectic, but I have already discussed that (in my 'interests.)

I have learned, over the past few years, that there is not much that I can't do without. Important things in my life are

> Family (This includes my dog! :D )
> Income
> Transportation (to facilitate income)
> Basic life necessities (Home, food, etc)
> Some kind of challenge to keep my mind occupied
> Friendship

There are many more that enhance my life, but I CAN do without. Notably:

> Romance / Passion / Sex
> Microbrews
> Kayaking
> Motorcycles
> Travel

So, why should you contact me?

- You are a NON-SMOKER. (Have you noticed a trend here?!)
- You have an education, can communicate effectively, and use punctuation with some degree of competence! ;)
- Just because you feel like it. I don't bite (usually! :) ) Just say hi, I'll write back.
- You are NOT looking for someone to support you.
- You are reasonably intelligent and enjoy someone else who is too.
- You are lighthearted, happy and passionate.
- You like Frank Zappa, Monty Python, and/or generally silly things.
- You say what you mean, and mean what you say.
- Whitewater Kayaking?!

Previous dates have included: Getting out for a nice meal, meeting for iced tea/coffee, meeting for a drink, going to a local Jazz Festival, seeing a movie (a terrible choice for a 1st date), visiting to a local pound and 'adoption agency' looking for kittens, going to a park to feed squirrels... so, whatever!

I would like to sit down and talk, have some laughs, do something fun; whatever we both agree upon. I've made a couple of good friends here and would like to make some more.

A good first date should be something relaxed and casual. What do you want to do? Coffee or a drink can be a good icebreaker. We can talk for a while to see what we have in common. Whatever we decide upon, it should be relaxed and fun for us both. Maybe going to the park with a Giant Bubble Wand, walking along a creek, let's think of something different from the 'norm.'

So now it's up to you. Send me a greeting, we can talk for a bit, and decide if we want to meet. Remember, if nothing is ventured, nothing is gained!

Bye!   Send me a message!
