My Life
Church activities, plus reading, nature hiking, computers, tennis, photography, playing guitar, the computer, writing, exercising (I don't get enough time for this, but enjoy it most when I'm doing it with someone), & lots of laughing! I love to laugh which I know sounds kind of strange for someone who tends to be serious...oh well...go figure another of God's precious mysteries! :)

I served as a missionary in China, Mongolia, Indonesia, & did a short teaching stint in Singapore. I'm currently working a Ph. D. in Intercultural Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. In the future I see myself teaching in a Bible College or Seminary (in the USA or overseas) & doing short-term mission trips with students, church people, & my "future" wife!

My Personality
I'm very serious about the things of God & I try to live life with youthful vigor seeking to have fun along the way! People consider me a real thinker who continually analyzes situations to maximize potential for the Kingdom of God. Those who know me find I love to have fun & do have a zest for life & love to laugh....I've recently discovered the simple joy of blowing bubbles! You remember, the bubbles that came in the colored, plastic bottles with the plastic round-ended stick inside. I also love to fly kites.

Present goals:
1. Draw closer to God in a more intimate relationship with Him.
2. Be used by God to reach more non-Christians with the truth of His love for them through the salvation message of His Son Jesus!
3. Disciple as many new converts as possible!
4. Help existing Christians to grow in maturity in their faith.
5. Finish my Ph. D.

My Match
I'm looking for a committed friendship which would lead into the lasting, permanent relationship of marriage, in other words I'm looking for a soul-mate! I'm also seeking someone who has never been married before & without children unless she is a widow. :)

My match would have a tremendous love & passion for God & ministry; she'd be a woman of gentleness, intelligence, beauty, graciousness, ability to communicate well, & understanding. She'd let me love & cherish her; someone whom would graciously receive my love, encouragement, & support, & who would believe in me & be a source of encouragement to me as well (seems only fair & Biblical for the love to flow both ways). I also want children so my wife-to-be would also need to want children. I believe that the order of importance is God 1st, wife 2nd, children next. I'm looking for someone with whom I could fall completely & passionately head-over-heels in love whom I could gaze lovingly & longingly into her eyes & she into mine & never tire of each others love & presence! I want a wife of whom I can be proud & brag to others about. I don't want a background wife standing or sitting silently behind me; I want someone who won't mind being bragged about to others, who knows her value in God's eyes & mine!
