Hi everyone! How are you doing today? Hope everyone is well. What can I say about myself? I'm rather new at this so bear with me please?! I'm 22 years old and I live in the wonderful country-side south of Dekalb, IL with my four dogs and two cats. I love music, movies, photography, writing, traveling, margarita's, swing dancing, and hanging out with my friends. I love to go out and star-gaze on my driveway for hours when it's not too cold. And also enjoy hiking, camping, and spending time in the pool (not that I have a pool but when I go somewhere that does, you can be sure to find me in it!). I'm Roman Catholic by birth and while I do still go to church, I'm not very religious. I'm not very tall, only about 5ft3 with shoulder length brown hair, hazel brown eyes and glasses.
I did attend Kishwaukee College for two semesters (sadly it was fall 05...then an internship at Disney World Resort...then fall 06...so I guess you'd really only consider that a year?) majoring in Fine Arts, but had to stop due to lack of funding (not to mention a *****y boss who wouldn't cooperate around my school schedule). I'd originally wanted to be a musician...but as I just barely skimmed through my music classes with the help of my best friend, I decided perhaps that wasn't really best for me. So, I decided to focus more on just finishing up my gen. ed's. Which sadly, I never got those finished either. As much as I'd love to say that I'm hoping to go back to school very soon, I'm probably going to end up waiting until I'm 24 so that I can actually get finacial aid, plus gives me more time to save up. When I go back, I plan to focus on photography or another form of media arts.
And I'm pretty sure this is just going to shoot me in the foot but yes, I do still live at home with my parents. Though in the long run, I suppose it's probably better that I do, especially with the way the economy is going right now...also doesn't help much I'm not exactly making a fortune working part time at a small town pizzeria...but I'm working on saving up to rent an apartment with my best friend probably down in the LaSalle/Peru area where things seem to be a bit cheaper.
One final thing I think you should know about me is, I'm really rather shy. I have trouble talking to people and keeping a conversation going. It usually takes me a few weeks (sometimes longer) to warm up and get into the comfortable swing of things with other people. But if the right person comes around, with the right amount of patience, I should be ok ^__^.
Here's what I'm looking for...I'm looking for a guy who knows how to treat a lady, a gentlemen some used to call them...not sure if those
guys even exist any more though. I want a guy who is willing to go on adventures, be it random
road-trips/unknown detours home or swing dance lessons, and is content with just staying in with a movie.
Someone who doesn't smoke is preferred and a guy who doesn't make it a point to drink a new imported six pack
every time I come over is an absolute MUST! I don't mind drinking from time to time, but if I start to notice
a trend, I have and WILL call it quits. I want some one who isn't just interested in sex and can kiss without
having to try and turn it into a make out session. Having someone to go hiking, camping, and to the occasional
White Sox game would also be nice. I'd like someone who is spontanious and will surprise me with a trip to
Chicago so we can spend the day at Navy Pier and end it at the Planetarium. A guy who loves dogs is a must.
I'd also prefer someone who would someday like to have kids (be it our own or adopted). And to be a bit on the
selfish side, I'd rather not have anyone over 5ft11in. Sounds silly I know, but being only 5ft3in, anything
over that is nearly a giant to me. I know it sounds like I'm asking for a lot...but in reality, I don't think
I am. I just know what I'm looking for. Send me a message!
