First off, I'm a professional (computer) geek. I'm into non-conformist stuff, so I like Macs ;-). I love horses, reading/writing, crafts, movies, camping/hiking, etc. I've been getting into running lately, and hope to do some races later this year, and possibly a half-marathon as well. I'm a beginner dancer (swing/ballroom), but would love to learn more. I'm generally an introvert, and usually have a small circle of good friends (something I need to acquire here!). I can be somewhat of a homebody sometimes, but I also like going out and experiencing new things. I am a big fan of all things Irish/Scottish, and enjoy going to celtic/renaissance festivals when I can. I consider myself honest, caring, intelligent, fun(ny?), introverted, stubborn (at times), independent, low-maintenance, and loyal. I'm looking for that "special someone", but I'm open to meeting new people and hopefully gaining some good friendships as well.I feel that it is important to be satisfied with yourself before you go out trying to make someone else happy, or seek someone to make you happy. I value personality over looks (that said, mutual attraction is important). I value someone who is honest, loyal, and self-confidant. I am not afraid to give it all in a relationship, and I expect the same. I highly value time together, and believe that common interests/activities are important to be able to share time together. That's not to say that each person shouldn't have their own interests/friends/etc, but common ground helps build the foundation of a relationship. I believe honest, straightforward communication is vital to a successful relationship. I am looking for someone who is honest, willing to communicate, and not afraid of commitment or any of the other mind games. There must be mutual trust and respect, as well as tolerance and open-mindedness. I want someone who will value me for who I am, but also help/encourage me to follow my goals to improve myself.
